It's because you have the box checked when you clicked upload....I hate the new picture addition system on the new VBulletin.
there we go. Yeah it's the checkbox - "retrieve file and reference locally" But it's only when you add a pic by URL. If you select upload from your computer you only get the attachment. Makes sense since you are uploading it and hosting it on Vbulletin.
Yeah there is a lot of stuff that is annoying in the new VBulletin update.
ya, like having to press the quote button twice in order to see what you're quoting.
Not for me. I hit Reply With Quote and it all drops down into the Quick Reply box.
i hit Reply With Quote, and my cursur turns into the little blue rotating circle.....like its not responding or something.
What browser are you using? I know that part of the update was to ensure that the WYSIWYG is compatible with Chrome & Safari... I use Chrome and haven't had any problems. Just curious if other browsers have issues.

He definitely got better at it with age/experience. Some of those early flops were ridiculous (falling the opposite direction you really would, etc). The later ones were funny yet had enough "realism" in them that you could at least somewhat believe them.
