Based on what a Gamestop employee told me a few years ago, one of the things that Gamestop uses to decide whether a midnight release is worthy is the number of pre-orders at a given store. So it may be self-serving to pre-order instead of just showing up. Personally, I'd advise pre-ordering if you know you're going to show up either for midnight release or on release day. Nothing can really go wrong with pre-ordering, unless you decide to go to a different store.

Just traded games in today. Got $143.00 the store manager gave me 40% on all my trades got NCAA Football and Madden paid, plus I had some left over. Pretty good deal for me. Bout to reload on games for the year.
Not exactly a pre-order deal, but according to this week's Toys R Us ad when you buy NCAA 12 you also get a McFarlane CFB series 3 figure of your choice for free (SUBJECT TO AVAILIBILITY).

Hell, I'd buy it just to get the Woodson one and then return the game.
Nice! Someone want to get Suh and ship it to me?![]()
If I end up getting the game there JB I'll try to get it. Wife got a gift card there so that is the reason I am even considering buying it there. Chances are since there are a boatload of Steelers fans here Troy will be gone.
That is if they even carry them all.
That thought crossed my mind too. That is if they even carry them all.
Proof that good things come to those that wait:
It's kinda hard to make out (I really need a new phone), but the guy at TRU somehow gave me the discount twice. Total for NCAA 12 + Tebow = $48.72.
