That was the first year on PS3 and the second year on 360. That kind of stuff is understandable early in the cycle.

it seems to still happen though at least in minor detail...did last years xbox360 version of ncaa glitch out in certain stadiums on the 5 yard line if you were on offense? etc...also Iou says the games are smoother on xbox overall.
I can personally attest to the fact that, because on the PS3 you have to load pretty much everything from the disc instead of being able to rip the entire disc onto the HD, games on the PS3 are slower because of load times, frame skips, etc because it has to constantly load the information from the disc and then funnel it to the HD and then to the processor than to the video card whereas, with the 360 and you ripping the entire game from the disc to the HD so that it hits the disc MUCH less frequently, it subsequently makes the games run smoother when you hit the invisible wall where it needs to load more information into memory.
FWIW, on my 2nd trip to EA this year (April), I was the only one playing a ps3 version of 12 (no ps3 version was available on my other trips). Several (probably 4 or 5) of the other CD guys commented how much crisper and more vibrant the ps3 version looked. Now, I understand there could be 101 reasons for this, but I mention it just to point out that the ps3 version of NCAA is definitely on par with the 360. Both versions look fantastic.
sounds good to me, for the longest time the regular xbox version was crap compared to the ps2 version, but then somewhere around 2005 or so I noticed on my friends xbox's that madden and ncaa looked better as the dev's got use to the new tech...(i assume) maybe they are finally getting used to the advanced and different tech of the ps3![]()
I will agree with mors that the ability to install the entire game to HDD makes a very big difference between 360 and PS3 versions, and our experience playing them. I really wish Sony would patch in the ability to install games to the HDD. I realize there's a whole piracy issue there, but it would really cut down on the wear and tear of our discs.

I've always thought the NCAA versions looked the same, but so far, the 360 version has been much smoother to play. Of course, I find that to be the case with most 360/PS3 games. It's not something to ruin the particular version, though.
By Friday probably means Friday afternoonbut I hope it's sooner.
Yeah I have a 320 GB SATA in my PS3, I'm thinking of upgrading to a bigger hard drive down the road.
