I think, no matter what we "choose", we should plan on having people run a handful of test offline dynasties, just to get an idea for how the progression from position to position will work over time. For example, does a 3* OC get a 1* HC position? If so, that would pretty much ruin any chances of us getting a "Powerhouse" coaching position before NCAA 13 releases.

I don't know if I would like only being a coordinator in an online dynasty, because I have very specific systems I run on offense and defense especially with the types of players and plays I use. I know the CPU would have no chance at running them the way I do.
The main problem I have with having to jump to 3 or more "jobs" is the fact you lose any connection to a team. To me, that is a big part of OD's. Building rivalries on and off the field just adds that much more. If someone beats me out for a stud freshman and I know I have to play them every year, it adds something to the experience for me. The competing for off season awards and what not, it all is stuff you cannot get going against the CPU in offline dynasty. Again though, I am willing to try out whatever the majority decides.
I'm indifferent, I think it might be cool but it might suck depending on how the CPU plays the "other" side of the ball. I think this feature would have been much better if there was an option to be HC and hire/fire assistants and receive a ratings boost in a particular category based on the assistants strengths. Having the ability to lose your OC because you play against his strengths and being able to steal each others assistants if they are unhappy.

Are our 'in the know' members not comfortable yet posting what they would like to do with our OD in ncaa 12 due to the NDA?
The more I think about it, the more I would not mind ever using FSU in this OD...I can run an offline OD just for myself or a 2 player OD with my buddy.
I would love to work my way up as a coordinator, maybe landing at Michigan State for a while and then after 5 years or something maybe save FSU or some other program with good prestige that has fallen on hard times...
I like the idea of starting as a coordinatior, I think the question becomes at what level do we start off at?
OB, I think we need to run some test dynasties to see where we could start and get a "good" job in a recent period of time. We'd want to make sure that it won't take a Papa level of success to get a good job, nor would we want to get 6* jobs within a year.

I would take a guess that you have to start as coordinator at a 3 or 4* school to get to a decent end goal in 5 seasons? We should be able to nail this down in offline simulations, hopefully that whole EA pass thing will let us get started with it a bit early.
I was really looking forward to playing with the Razorbacks, but I'm down with whatever we decide. My only concerns are recruiting and user games AS a coordinator.

I am torn on which side of the ball I would want to be on. I need to play around on defense more to see what I can cook up....I spent the community days trying to make sure what was there worked. On offense however, I really like some of the things I would be able to do.
I'm with Papa and would be down with whatever.
I also will probably be looking towards the defensive side of the ball as well.
I'm going to wait and see what we decide on this dynasty and do something a tad different with mine for 2012. I want to give people options and such on what they would like to do and if they want a mix then everyone will get that chance to do both if thy would like. We just have lots of options and ways we could go with this that I'm really pumped for NCAA12!

Would there ever be a time where one of us who is an OC end up getting a job offer from a school where another of us is a DC?
It would be pretty fun to schedule a joint user game...and lockerroom disputes after a failed 4th and 1 conversion on their own 24 yard line
On last gen, me and my buddy use to swap the controller back and forth during games. I played defense and he Played offense. It was pretty fun. I just thought it was a possibility and would have it's good and bad if it actually happened.
