I hope there is at least an option to choose something for free in the store within 30 days for those who have all five titles. It would only make sense that if you're very loyal to Sony, there's a good chance you have all five titles.
I got all 5 of those the day they came out. I knew that was going to happen.![]()
So here's some interesting news. Sony brought PSN back up in North America, Australia, and Europe, but so far not Japan. Why? Japan's making them guarantee its security first.

I definitely don't blame them. PS3 users here in the US were in such an uproar because they wanted to play their games. But how concerned about security were they? If I was a PS3 user, I would rather PSN stay down for 3 months than come up without making damn sure the new security measures are actually worth a damn. I hope Sony is very sure and confident in their new security measures, because I can only imagine the uprising, not only from PS3 users, but from security communities, if PSN gets hacked and taken down again a week or month or whenever from now.
Yeah, it was very clear early on that the "average" PSN user didn't understand the privacy or financial implications and just wanted their games.
My interest in that story stems more from the fact that I'm relatively sure that no one in America thought to stop SCEA from putting the network back online until their security is double checked. Yet Japan, the home country for the corporation, did. Very intriguing.

Yeah, I definitely don't remember anyone in Congress, elsewhere in government, or in any position of ability to do so, saying anything to SCEA or about them in general as to regarding how well their "new security" is and if it has been fully tested and checked and if it is now good enough to stand up to at least most, if not almost all attack attempts on it.
For SCEA's sake, I sure hope these new security measures are exactly all that they are being touted as. Because if they aren't, and hackers breaking in and take the system down again, there is going be a lot more hell to pay than just a bunch of pissed off gamers.
Yep. Bringing PSN back up was quite literally a no-win scenario for Sony. Sure, they got back in the good graces of the users (somewhat), but the hackers are likely to view it as a challenge. You know they want to take it down again. And if it goes down again, Sony will never recover -- especially if it's soon.

I hated the Infamous demo so I never got it. I'll take it if it's free.

Ok, need some help trying to decide which games I want. inFAMOUS is one but I can't decide on the 2nd: Wipeout or LittleBigPlanet? Thoughts?
To me, LBP is impressive in what it can do, but as a game, it didn't hold much for me. After playing the in-game "storyline", I didn't download very many created levels and didn't have enough patience to create my own level. I haven't played this Wipeout but I remember enjoying Wipeout on the original PS.
