Mine worked this morning when I signed in, changed password, and checked status of OD. Haven't been on or tried since.

I can understand why the entire Northeast went live at the same time, then, because maybe all of New England is going through servers in New York. But Maryland turning on as a standalone state is very strange ... you'd think they'd be grouped in with Delaware, DC, or Virginia at least.
We do phased roll-outs when we don't want to overwhelm our system. Specifically something that's been mostly untested for a month.

Yeah, I get that, UGA. I've seen plenty of phased roll-outs. The thing I guess that's surprising me about that is I can't figure out why it was effectively a state-by-state rollout. I imagine they must have regional re-directs or something like that ... just confusing, is all.

but I like the idea of the avatar and stuff as long I dont have to pay for it in the future haha

in other words - will playstation home always be free ?

To my knowledge, PS Home is free and likely always will be free, though it doesn't have anything to do with buying TeamBuilder slots. Those are sold in the PS Store.

There are some things in Home that you can pay for. But you're not required to pay a dime.
