Yes, you may run into some idiots, but that happens in all online games. I've played about 200 online games between both of my gamertags, and I've played about 15-20 cheesers, a pretty low percentage. Bringing in the Top online guys however is crucial, cause that's where the flaws of the game are exploited an need to be fixed. Many sim communities criticize the Madden tournament scene, saying we don't know about football, just money plays and cheese, when in reality, guys like Sgibs and Shopmaster that represent people like me at the Madden CD can glitch, but know so much about football, the PS2 days, features we want back, and teaching EA how to manipulate the AI so that it can be eliminated helps make a better product IMO.
I don't believe that if you were GETTING a true sim experience as you claim to want, that you would be complaining about the ultra ai "exploits" that people are "continually taking advantage of" online. I also don't believe that if you were WANTING that true experience, that you would continue to play in a place that would have to "force" players to play more realistically. Now that I play in a league at TSO, I understand that a sim experience is about more than just playing a perfectly put together AI football game against another user. Its about respecting the game for what is fair and what is not based on the exploits of the game, pitting that against the physical rules of real life football and playing at a level that doesn't abuse that edge. Oh yeah, and still finding a way to win.

Could things be better? Yeah they could and I want EA to know how they could do that as much as anyone! I put in my 2cents all the time on things that would help the game and the series become closer to a real life game.

Am I gonna whine till my head falls off about the fact that I can't get a decent game of football with the "east wing guys" cause they exploit the game too much based on its ai flaws and therefore threaten to not buy the game until 'x, y and z' are fixed?:

    No!!!

Point is, it's a video game so no matter how good the game gets, exploits will be available. Those that care only about wins will find a way to exploit the game to benefit them. Those that care about how the game is played will avoid that when it doesn't fit a real life situation. Point blank, period, end of story.

Getting all worked up over EA spending their time to please more than 50% of the buyers instead of spending time on your personal agenda with the game because you are are either unwilling or too lazy to find a crowd or group of players that you could enjoy the game with is in a phrase: idiotic and self absorbed. I am not saying any of us are that way, I'm just sayin' "don't be that guy".

For me, regardless of how great gameplay gets, it's not a true sim experience without presentation and the like that goes into dynasty, so I would be crushed if something like intros were removed. Before them, every time it went straight to the coin flip I got really annoyed at the missing ingredient to getting ready for the game. And I do watch them every time.

However thats not what most (if any) of the head to head guys play for. They play for stats.
