Toss plays weren't even that effective on '11. Stretch plays and counter plays were what worked.
It's not really about how effective the play is. The front 7 still has no concept of gap containment or run responsibilities.

CD Guys can you guys go over the "CHOOSE STYLE" I think it said, with the "B" Button on the play calls screen also?
im in agreement though that until the demo drops, we won't "feel" the difference yet imo.

i'm in between you guys but i'm currently leaning more towards rhombic. i didn't see a HUGE leap gameplay wise. to me it looks/sounds like a slight improvement via zone AI which basically means NCAA 11.5 (in terms of gameplay).
i personally enjoyed 11 so i suspect i will enjoy 12. however, if you didn't/don't enjoy 11 i haven't seen anything to point to yet that would make me say you should try 12.
I had a huge problem with big formation tosses in the 3 weeks that I played it. They'd run the same stupid 4 plays over and over, toss, stretch, counter, triple option. Needless to say, I got bored with it fairly quickly. Fingers crossed that garbage doesn't work nearly as well with '12.
The PS2 versions, if im not mistaken, didn't have gap recognition either. That to me, sounds like something for the next wave of consoles, some stuff you can't fix, and i'm no EA apologist either.

I'm not saying a saw a huge leap either. I'm just saying, on that one particular toss, it looked like the defense recognized it much better and pursued to the ball. Zone defense also looks improved, as does how inaccurate the QB seemed whenever the player did not set their feet. However, like I said, it's impossible to judge based on what we saw. I'll know whether it's a huge leap or not when I can get my hands on it and play it.
Based off this stream, game plays faster, like NCAA 11, tackles and animations look better. D Line and O Line interaction still needs work to me.

The running in general looked much improved and the shotgun blocking seemed to be a step as well. Read option seemed to run more fluidly. I also really liked the way the collision and hits took some momentum and player size into account in that video. I did notice some slight warping on WR's and some OL sliding a tad bit into defenders to initiate blocks, but not as bad as NCAA football 11. Oh, and I like how he mentioned that the ball trajectory was touched up some too. Too many times I would see a super LB jump up and knock a pass down that I was throwing to a WR 15 yards down field. Which also brings me to mention that I did not see any super LB's jumping up and knocking passes down.

I definitely like how players are running now, players don't look hunched over at full speed anymore.

Well at least from those two quarters that they showed (HUM vs. CPU and other HUM vs. HUM) I think the bull rush pushdown is rare since I didn't notice it once.
Trying to read up on Youtube Live Streaming and from what I can tell, Youtube itself doesn't "record" the video so unless someone else captured it somehow, it won't be available as an archived event. It's still very much a work in progress thing from Youtube.
Did anyone here happen to record it?
Hmm. Didn't see that bull rush animation. Maybe those who said it doesn't happen every snap were right after all.![]()
It looked like the gameplay speed was faster like the demo was last year.
I still noticed a lot of super fast strafing and backpedaling but not the superman leaping LB's and DL so that is much better. Plus he said they tweaked the passing trajectory allowing for a more realistic touch pass.
Well no audio needed xMrHitStickx904 for the part when they go to load the HUM vs HUM game the onscreen info displays something about Online Dynasty so at least we can get some info on that.
