I think there referring to the state of North Carolina symbol with the pirate skull in the middle, I think they changed it when they played Virginia Tech couple of years ago...

I remember struggling with last years game when trying to catch a jump-ball as a receiver. A fade route to the corner of the endzone was pretty much impossible, at least in my experience. I'm excited about being able to dive for a catch. Is catching the fade/jump-ball also improved?

I scored on JB with a fade route. I too would like to see more control & some more animations for fades though. I guess to answer your question though, it's basically like last year where you tap the receivers button & then just kinda let him do his thing. At least, that's how I've had the best success with it.

    Just curious..

What do Steelerfan, Gschwendt, and oneback do for a living and how old are you ?

does EA pay for the plane tickets- room -board etc? Are you treated like an employee with a questionnaire or survey or dialogue or something?

Sorry, haven't had a chance to read the whole thread yet but I really like the improvements to zone coverage. One potential issue is that it could become too tough. Will EA split the pass coverage slider between man and zone coverage so we can tweak this to our liking?

I know you can't answer... I just sayin...

So...basically your saying OS violated the terms of their NDA with EA. Perhaps I should give them my card....

    do uniforms still get dirty?

did you play any fog games - how did they look ?

did anyone use Nebraska or Utah in a conference game? Did the announcers mention the conference change for those teams ?

haha in a year or 2, the Rose bowl will finish its upgrade and I'll be the one bringing it up since I live a half hour away haha

ESPN also spilled the beans on Custom Playbooks:

And while the new zones and tackling system are greatly appreciated by fans of the franchise, nothing will get "NCAA Football" gamers more pumped than the new custom playbooks. With these new playbooks, gamers can pretty much do whatever they want in terms of putting together the best plays from across the country. Like the wishbone? How about taking all of the wishbone plays from every team and put them all in one offense. You can go in and select entire formations or individual plays, building your playbook exactly how you want, and then customize the layout in the play-call screen so you can easily sort through the plays during a game, putting all of your play-action passes together or all of your wildcat runs together, making for a pretty awesome user/coaching experience.

    -Uniform degradation looks great.
-Fog games really look fantastic, especially at night.
-Used Nebraska but didn't notice the answer to your question. Wasn't listening for it though so take that fwiw.

Fog game look sweet, especially at night.

I used Nebraska in a conference game, but don't recall the announcers mentioning the change....but I didn't have the sound fully up most of the time with so many people playing at the same time.

    2. Did anyone use this play? How did the blitzing work from it? Did they show blitz before the snap by walking up to the line of scrimmage or did they stay home and blitz from their initial position?

    3. What about this play? Is it late coverage by the FS or does he show before the snap of the ball? Same as above, does the strong side LB move to the outside of the DE to blitz or does he blitz from his initial position?

    4. Can you comment on the number of plays from a given defensive formation? If so, how many plays did you notice the 3-4 Predator had? Did it have any of the new zone coverages/zone blitz plays?

    5. Did the play now cutscenes include any shots of Coaches?
Just bumping this hoping that some of the other guys get a chance to answer them as well. I'd especially like to know if anyone things that the running game is still as powerful as it is this year or if the improved defense helped against that any?

Any changes in presentation to teams without any "cool" pre-game entrances. I.e. Duke?

I think they added a handful of new generic entrances and also on all team entrances, they added more players to them. Not sure the count but last year I think it was capped at 11... this year is definitely better in that regard.

Playing Kwizzy in the final four of the community day tournament (where he completely waxed me) I could not get a run game going at all. I was Oklahoma and he was South Carolina.
