Based on this video, it sounds like UTEP has either a cannon or just fireworks after scoring:
Explosion sound is audible around :12 to :14 seconds and then camera pans to the source of the explosion at :50 or so after the XP is kicked.
Hard to tell for sure what it is--a cannon or just fireworks--but this is a start.

So I guess that is fireworks. Sure looked like cannon smoke from that one video though.
A previous poster said that Hawaii uses fireworks when they score which is false.
There is a cannon on the field right next to the UH band in the stands. After the game fireworks are fired depending on the outcome usually.
Thanks for the info! Do you know what type of cannon it is? and is it fired after each score?
