I know so little about college basketball rosters that I'm playing with generic names and it's not bothering me at all. I honestly don't even know the top teams and players. I don't even know who plays at Southern Miss or who our coach is (last I remember, it was Larry Eustachy). I'm still trying to figure out how to properly run an offense because doing the old "hold turbo and dunk all day" tactics of yore don't work at all.

Tonight I am going to set up a tournament bracket based on the real thing and run through it and see what happens. In my Arizona St dynasty I am about 9 games away from the PAC 10 tourney. I have a good shot of making it to the big dance this year. My goal is at least the elite 8 after two straigth years of being knocked out in the sweet 16.
Has anyone seen the game marked down anywhere? I might give it a shot if it was $19.99 or less.
No the game hasn't gone down any. It's still $40 on amazon and $33 used at Gamestop
Same here. I have 09, but I have been wanting to get 10 sometime.
You're going to have to wait til after March Madness....I looked on eBay and there are bids topping $30 on it used.
Well, thanks to Tigers Woods 12, NASCAR sometime in the future when I pick it up, and then LA Noire in May, along with my current stockpile of games, I should be able to manage to wait long enough into the future for the price drop to occur, lol.
Honestly, I got the game for Christmas in 09 and it was totally worth it! I still love the game plus still not having won the N.C. keeps me coming back for more.
Momentum in this game can be deadly. I am finishing up another season and I am playing my in-state arch rival, Arizona. Now the Wildcats are pretty weak and at the half I am up 39-20. I don't score in the last minute of the first half and they score four points to make the game a little closer. As the second half starts I hear some commentary about how the game should be closer. Arizona then goes on a 17-2 run to make it 41-37. My FG % drops from 53% in the first to 31% in the second. I call timeouts, run motions, change up my D... nothing makes a difference. With two minutes left I am now behind by 1 point. Long story short, I manage to hit a BIG three to regain the lead and then I go to the line a bunch of times and come away with a 61-59 victory. Because of momentum I could not play D or make a shot and that includes layups!!!
So just for fun I re-created the field of 64 and simmed through the NCAA tourney of 2011. It took about 35 minutes to set-up the field but to see the results made it worht the wait.

Did anyone do updated rosters? Does anyone know?
I think there was an issue with not being able to edit the class of a player. However, I seem to recall a set or two being on the OS forums. Not sure how good they are. I was able to find a very good set of 2k8 "2K11" rosters.
Yeah I don't think there are any sets. I checked OS but could not find anything. I just keep playing with the 09 rosters and this far into my career pretty much 80% of the players are fake now anyways so for me it's not a big deal.
After a few busy weeks fighting the flu, family obligations, work, etc. I finally found the time to finish my NCAA 10 season. After beating Duke 67-66 by hitting a F/T with under six seconds left I played Syracuse for the CHAMPIONSHIP. I barely got by them earlier in the season and I was up by five at the half in the cahmpionship game. Long story short~ second half I shot 38% and Syracuse shot 59% I ended up losing the game 78-73. It was a tough loss considering I put in at least 35+ hours just to get to that point. So another season over and I still have NEVER won the NCAA basketball championship. Okay, I am putting this game away until the fall...
Just to resurrect this thread... there are a lot of rumours that NCAA BASKETBALL will be comingt back in an every other year format. If this is the case I am pumped. NCAA 10 was an amazing game with a few glaring issues. If those issues could be fixed while keeping the best of 10 this would be an amazing title. I really hope this is the announcement we hear today.
Yeah, I still need to buy NCAA 10 sometime. If I can find it at a reasonable price and not $60 or $70 it still is in a lot of places online today.
