My cousin had one and I had the Atari so I pretty much played it all the time. I can't remember the name of the baseball game that he had but it was cool too.... I actually found a pic of it

This looks like it could be sweet, especially with the $10 price tag.

Fireburst to offer explosive (budget) racing on XBLA, PSN and PC this summer

Not sure how long this video will be live, but this is a GDC tech demo of the updated Unreal Engine, and Cliffy B. isn't pleased that it got posted on YouTube.

There's no doubt that that is definitely pretty and all, but, really, how is it truthfully any different than what's being shown on the PC right now in cutscenes? The lighting is definitely interesting and the water reflections look great, but I'm just not seeing anything that's truly blowing me away here and I definitely don't see how it's going to be possible for that engine to run on the 360 or the PS3 when games that don't look anywhere close to as good as that have FPS issues or have to have the polygons on far away things reduced to keep it running smooth.

It's a next gen engine. I doubt you'll be seeing it on 360 or PS3.

I posted this in a couple other theads already, but I wanted to increase it's visibility by putting it in this thread too.

As to some of the previous conversation, I also had an Intellivision. I got it for Christmas in 1981, when I was in 2nd grade (possibly '82/3rd grade, but I think 2nd). The original sports games on it didn't have the option of playing against the CPU, so I played as both teams, lol. I can't tell you how many 1000s of games of baseball I played where I'd pitch with one controller, quickly switch to the other controller to hit, then quickly switch back to field the ball. That was a loooooong time ago, lol.

A mode like that is really cool and helpful. NCAA 11 added in one-button mode, but they missed the boat in terms of announcing/stating how helpful that could be for disabled gamers. It went unannounced in the pre-release, IIRC.

Personally, I think One-button mode is just the new version of "Family Play", and is primarily designed for beginners. It would be helpful to advertise it that way, perhaps, but I don't believe that was the intent.

Agreed. Also, I haven't looked at the ADVA settings but, per the article, they are customizable for people with differing levels of abilities. I honestly never thought about it until yesterday, but all games should be doing this.

These are some test videos I did with this new unit I got. AVerMedia HD DVR. Its identical to the Hauppage unit except this one has an HDMI output.

    AverMedia HD DVR

These are with default settings, non-edited and rendered with the software that came with it. I will be using Sony Vegas to edit and render.

Make sure to change it to 720p

Holy Shit Skip those look really good! My monitor only has an HDMI input. Could I use AverMedia to record games in HDMI? If so what all do I need?

I'm curious as well how the HDMI out functions... sure it doesn't actually convert the Component out to HDMI. If so... that'd be pretty great.

Thanks. Yeah I thought each setting looked the same honestly.

CL I'm not sure if it will allow you to use HDMI to capture. I run the component cables from the PS3 into the box, then a set from the box to the TV. Tried using HDMI but it greyed the screen out. I believe that is because you have to have the PS3 set to component cables as it cannot display both

This is the one I got

After looking around, you may be able to do what your asking with this possibly with this one

You can't capture PS3 via HDMI, no matter what you use. The HDMI output on the PS3 is copy-protected.
