Netherlands' Arjen Robben escapes FIFA sanction after admitting to diving in Dutch 2-1 win over Mexico.
That was a screw job yesterday but I'm indifferent about it.
U.S. Soccer says forward Jozy Altidore fit to play vs. Belgium on Tuesday (4 ET on ESPN, WatchESPN app).
Good news, if it's true.
Luis Suarez apologizes to Italy's Giorgio Chiellini for World Cup bite, vows never to do it again.
I'm going to want to hear what he actually said. I doubt he made a clear admission.
I forget which match it was, but there was one I was watching and one team had three players all go down within a few seconds of each other and proceed to lay there playing dead trying to draw a foul.
Meanwhile the other team has possession of the ball and it essentially became 11 on 8 because those three dumbasses just wanted to lay there and roll around. As soon as play stopped for either a whistle or the ball going out, they get right up and start running all around again.
I would have been pissed of my team had given up a goal because three dumbasses wanted to play dead to try and draw a foul.

The Swiss are tightroping on danger right now.
The dude abides.
30 minutes to kickoff. Definitely going to be a challenge for the US. If Hazard is at his best, the US can not stop him. I don't know alot about Origi but if I'm the US, I'm happy he is in the starting XI ahead of Lukaku.
Off to a less than stellar start. Almost fucked the pooch in the first 30 seconds.

Getting chances though.

Jesus fuck. The game winner right there and kicks it over the bloody fucking cross bar.
Didn't take Lukaku long to have an impact. Sigh.
It didn't take long for our defense to completely shit themselves on that play.![]()
No idea why Lukaku was not in the Belgian side from the outset. He is a physical freak at the number 9. I'll be rooting for Belgium going forward.
It's a shame for Tim Howard, he deserved much better tonight. Howard is the reason the US is competitive on the world stage and he was fantastic in Brazil.
As for the US, this wasn't a bad showing at the World Cup. Reaching the round of 16 was no easy task from the draw they were dealt in December. It would have been overachieving, in my opinion, to reach the quarters.
Hopefully Julian Green develops into the kind of special player that the US has always lacked.
