Just to add to that, in the game against Jeff my DB that was jumping things is a 92 OVR #12 Stephon Morris. He also has a 97 Man coverage rating which is huge and another reason he was so tough to pass to his side of the field.

Oh, that's absolutely true. I played one game against Boise State (pre patch #2, pre any tuners), and got absolutely shredded by their WRs. I couldn't cover them at all, even with Alabama's DBs.

And Snoop, I know he was good. It wasn't just your game that I've seen stuff like this though.

What I'm fundamentally saying is that if I play Miami controlled by the CPU, with our sliders, and then I play Tex, even if they're both running man coverage, the reaction time of the DBs to the ball is different. Significantly different. One allows for the a curl to be doable. The other makes it nigh impossible. At least from what I've seen.

The higher the route running ability the more predictable the route will be run.
Speed seems to matter more than all of those things. You could take a bunch of CB's with speed and acceleration in the upper 90's and play lock down man D regardless of what their man coverage ratings are in this game. Either that or like I said the ball trajectory seems to be heavily CPU favored.

I don't know, I've got Demar Dorsey who's a RS Fr playing the slot corner right now. He's got 96 speed, 94 agility, 91 acceleration and 88 man coverage/76 zone and because his man coverage rating isn't in the 90's I still have problems with him in coverage. His awareness is low (43), I still contend awareness plays a role.

I'm sure that once his man coverage rating goes over 90 (what I consider the tipping point with all the ratings) he will be a lock down man corner.

But yes athletic skill does play a part.

Fellas, at seasons end I will be retiring from the dynasty. The combination of me not playing this game much and having a little one is cutting into my gaming.

I would like to finish the season, that is the least I can do for OB and you guys. I won't set the next user up for failure in case they take VT, I will recruit the best players available.

Yeah I will stay around the forums. I'm in the IT field so I do nothing but surf the web and stay on the forums ALL day. My forum activity goes down when I get home though understandly because I don't want to see another computer when I get home from work lol.

Its just been a rough 2 weeks, lack of sleep isn't helping at all after being up all night every night. Once I missed the game Tex and I had scheduled, I knew this could happen again and if anyone knows I absolutely hate missing games/standing people up or having my games simmed. Doesn't help that I am in 4 Madden leagues either which I have to drop out all but one of those likely.

My gaming will now revolve around playing the CPU in many games which I despise but I need to spend every chance I get with my wife and son.

I'll definitely stay around to check to see if Jeff is still bribing LB's from other schools lol.

I'm going to finish the season strong though

Good Luck Skip - I'm sure you'll be back in no time. The little one will soon get settled in a routine.

Spot on about routine, once that is established you'll notice that you will have a little more time to spend with the wife again and your gaming! LOL

With my user-user games done and the season wrapping up, here's a way too early Oklahoma 2012 starting lineup:

    QB - Jones*, Bell/Allen
    RB - Calhoun, Clay/Finch, Recruit?
    FB - Musil
WR - Reynolds, Stills, Richardson? (FR), Muse, Huffman, McClain, Millard (WR/TE)
    TE - Millard, Parsons/Haywood, Wallace
LT - D. Williams (RT), Recruit?/Kearney (rFR), Noel?
    LG - Irwin, Recruit?
    C - Habern, Ikard
    RG - Evans, Thompson, Slaughter?
    RT - Aladenoye, Recruit?

    LE - Grissom/Recruit/Washington, Slaughter
    RE - Chaisson, Washington, Favors
DT - McFarland, McGee, Walker, Humphrey, Peterson
    LOLB - R. Lewis, Lee
    MLB - Wort, Franklin, Jefferson
    ROLB - Bird, Nelson (CB?)
CB - Hurst, Lynn, Richardson? (FR), Harris
    FS - Trice, Hayes (CB?)
SS - Ibiloye, Jefferson, Lumpkin (LB?)
    K - O'Hara
    P - Way

Offense: If Jones goes, we'll have a gaping hole on the offense, Jones could be a 99 OVR next year if he returns and would be a great leader with a majorly inexperienced group of recievers. Reynolds, Stills, Millard and Erik Richardson, who could play both ways, look to be our four guys catching it next year. Brett Muse could be an interesting one, too. On the line, we'll have to replace three starters.

Defense: New starters at defensive ends, I love how quick Chaisson is, along with Slaughter. Slaughter needs to improve alot though. Slaughter could have high 90's ACC for a defensive lineman. Insane. We lose Travis Lewis, who's been a leader on D. Wort could see his OVR hit 99 as a redshirt junior. Our secondary should be improved but who will be our second CB? Who knows.

Special Teams: We'll have to find someone to replace Dejuan Miller as #2 KR, and I'd expect that to be someone like Brett Muse, otherwise, an improvement all around.

I am going to chalk it up to the usual lull once football season and school starts up. However, that is a good idea what would it take to get a bit more participation?
