From the part I played, Live would really benefit from a playcall menu or at least a notification. So when I call a play or quick play it would notify me that the play was called and the type/name of play. The ball physics also need improvement in regards to reacting off the rim or going into a player's hands. Either the ball does not register being contacted by the player quick enough or the players don't react quick enough. Maybe they can get the guys from FIFA to work on that, because the player reactions and ball physics in FIFA are very accurate/realistic.

With as difficult as it is to shoot from the outside on anything but Rookie, better shot feedback would be HUGE.

I have no clue if I am shooting the ball correctly. Has there been any indiction from the developers of the possibility of adding a "shooting bar" for all shots?

Everytime I start the game up install progress has increased from the previous time, but does not increase while the game is actually on. Today I started the game and the bar was at the stripes on Kyrie Irving's right shoulder. I left the game on sitting at the main menu for almost an hour, come back and it's in the exact same spot -_-. I close the application then restart it hoping for a progress jump, but nope same spot.
My game installed fine BUT it was the slowest install i have had on PS4. I was shocked how long it took to unlock the full game.

There is feedback where the disc glows white, and that's supposedly a good shot, but it doesn't always go in; which I think means it's also based on ratings as well.

Completely agree here, I'm trying on PRO but not having much success yet. Maybe I should drop down but I'm not seeing it really helping my out really.

Granted this was using all bronze players, but I had a game yesterday where I didn't score until 4 minutes left in the 2nd quarter and ended up going 2/26 for 4 points in the entire first half.

I was looking at my player ratings. No wonder I suck. My free throw ovr is only 50.

Here are some things that I am seeing too much of:

CPU dribbling as the shot clock expires
CPU shots going off the side of the backboard
    CPU blocks
Animations that result in out of bounds

I'm playing Rising Star as a PG for Utah on Pro with 5min qtrs. Here are some numbers from my last game, a 36-32 win at New Orleans.

75 shots combined, 11 blocks. My team had most of those, but a block for every 7 attempts sounds high.
My player was 4-5, but I just drive for a layup or I don't shoot. After being 2-2 at the line in the previous game, I was 0-2 in this one. I had 8 points, 6 assists, 2 rebounds and 4 turnovers in 18 minutes (of 20).

On the season Utah is 5-8. As a team, we are shooting .475 FG%, .304 3P%, & .573 FT%. My player is shooting .563. FG% and .613 FT%. I have not taken a 3. In spite of my layup only philosophy, I had a game where I was, like, 1-13 or something.

    I'm averaging 12.5 PPG and 3.8 APG.

Stan your comments pretty much verify that there is no rhyme or reason to shooting. Everyone seems to have dismal shooting %. Do we all not know how to shoot or is the system flawed/broken?

This is a real pet peeve in rising star. I am only missing 1 minute or so per game and am an instant starter on the Nets, regardless of my low ratings. I get subbed once per game while Johnson, Garnett, Lopez, are subbed multiple times throughout the game.

A few other concerns with regards to rising star:

    1. Does your team ever call a timeout???
    2. Does your team ever switch defenses???
    3. Do coaches use any strategy/switch up strategy?
    4. Do manual user called double teams actually occur??? It seems like when I call them they don't???
    5. Outside of scoring in the paint, does the cpu take any medium range shots???
    6. Why does the cpu drive for two when they are down by three with less than 5 seconds left???
*** questionable AI at times for sure...
    7. Why do cpu players miss so many easy baskets (both hum team and cpu team)

At the end of that game at NO last night, they in bounded the ball with ~:20 left down by four. They passed it around and passed it around, finally worked down to the low block where the PF dribbled for 4 or 5 seconds until time expired.

Also, I should have added 3 in the Key to my list of things I'm seeing too often.

Not a lot of people play this game so i just checked and for TODAY's scores I am currently #1 in live moments with 22,120 points. For the week i am in 25th (CDJ is 12th) and for the month I am in 21st with 123,160 points. i have no overall rank but CDJ is killing it as he currently is in 11th place. Nice job!

I just hit level 29 and have earned 138,586 xp points. The big/live moments are a lot of fun. I would actually have to say they are the best thing about Live 14 IMO. I love the variety of playing as all the different teams and a number of the challenges are very quick but very rewarding when you win.

I played a LUT game earlier tonight (second of college series, PRO difficulty) and shot 50% from the outside, but did not notice what my overall was though I am assuming 55-60%. Overall, I'm guessing my 3P% is 30-35% and overall 50+%, but most of those are inside the paint.

I don't have any secret for the success (my LUT team doesn't have that great of outside shooters), but one tip is that players need to be open. Even if wide open, I let them hold the ball for a split second before shooting - basically pretending they are setting their feet or something. If I try to shoot the ball as soon (or before) it is fully in their hands, it's almost always a miss.

Also, this may be a placebo but it feels like shooting the ball coming off of a play or move (spin move or screen, for example) boosts your odds. I feel like I make more shots this way.

I haven't played any randoms online, but I have heard some people say that post-patch with shot improvements it has turned into a three-point-fest, similar to how Live 10 was.

I definitely agree about plays seeming to increase success. When I was playing Dynasty, I gave up on 3 point shooting unless I got a good look off of a play. In Rising Star, I don't think my teammates take 3s unless off a set play.
