If you can grab it (Steam has been down for the past couple of hours) Left 4 dead 2 is free until tomorrow morning through Steam.
Edit: I probably should say if you don't already have it the game is getting pretty long in the tooth.
Does anybody have 7 Days To Die?

Decent user score on meta: http://www.metacritic.com/game/pc/7-days-to-die (only 5 votes though)
It's like DayZ and Minecraft.

For $34.99, it better be more than an Alpha... There's no freakin' way I'd pay that much for an unfinished game. Especially with how nearly every game is coming out in Alpha or Beta stage right now.
The only real PC games I play are Alien Arena & Planetside 2
And out of those, I can only AA on my PC. I would need the Playstation Now app for PS3 when it comes out to play Planetside 2 because my PC just isn't powerful enough (I know having tried to play MANY times)
In fact, dare I say but I believe AA & PS2 are the only really formidable PC games out there. The rest are just CRAP unless you're talking retro or kiddie games. Thats why there aren't that many PC gamers out there when compared to the number of console gamers (Nintendo Wii probably has more gamers than the PC does)
JMO.....
Cheers & Happy Gaming

This is the most annoying practice going right now on PC, I think alot of them are actually finished games they just want that "window" to say its in alpha/beta in case something comes up and they have to make a change.
There are a few who are taking things from the community and actually applying to the game but I have run across a few where the devs have pretty much called it quits.
On a whim i picked up the indie release, BANISHED. my gosh I have been playing this game non-stop since last night. For $19.99us it's a total deal. It's basically a historical city builder game (kind of like simcity meets imerpium romanum). The game was made by ONE person and after hearing and seeing it on twitch I decided to pick up up. I'm glad I did. For $20 I am very pleased. If you like building and MICRO-MANAGING duties you will like this game... check out twitch for more info.
Anyone own or play Europa Universalis IV? I downloaded the demo and play the tutorials and single player for about seven hours. This is one incredibly complex game but I find it very addictive once you figure out the overly complex gameplay. I want to pick it up but is it worth $45???
if you can hold out on it, it goes on sale very often at sites like humble bundle, and even bundle stars had it on sale.
It was literally just 12.00 on Amazon 4 days ago, because I thought about buying it.
Its literally like Crusader Kings, same developers, gameplay, just different periods.
This game Banished looks interesting.....

No, the dev. purposely decided to go with no warfare. There are disease outbreaks, crop failures etc. but the whole focus is to try and create a community. People freeze in the winter, starvation is an issue etc. but there is zero combat. A big portion of the game is micro-management of what your settlers are doing. After about 15 hours I have my largest community at 132 adults 19 students and 24 kids. It's very time consuming.
Some user said it's like SimCity with the survival of DayZ.

I ended up caving and buying Europa Universalis IV. I have to admit that I am really liking it. I could have waited for a cheaper price but honestly I am glad I did buy it. I have put in close to 30 hours and we are only up to 1502c.e. Playing as Burgundy is tough. The English hate me; the French hate me; Munster hates me... you get the trend here. I had a strong ally in Scotland... and then they were conquered. I'm not to proud to admit I have used a cheat code or two just to stay alive.
Currently I am trying to get into the exploration game but it's not going well. I have a strong military and am very advanced but a lot of people see me as a rival because of the trade node in Antwerpen that control. As a result I have a lot of wars and not a lot of friends.
The game is a lot of fun but highly frustrating at the same time. Easily I am heading to 100+ hours by the summer.
New Gauntlet game coming to Steam this summer!
