Zen Pinball 2 / Pinball Arcade Thread (PS4)

Zen Pinball 2 Coming to PS4 on December 17th

It’s Pinball time on PS4! Zen Pinball 2 will launch on December 17th for PS4, featuring a selection of tables from the previous generation’s table library. If you already own these tables on PS3 or PS Vita, we invite you to download them for FREE on PS4.

For those of you that have never played Zen Pinball, the Sorcerer’s Lair table is absolutely free for all players, giving you the opportunity to try the game risk free.

Additionally, Marvel’s Doctor Strange will launch as brand new content. That’s right; the Sorcerer Supreme will be day one content for Zen Pinball 2 on PS4 for $2.99. If you haven’t purchased a PS4 yet, Doctor Strange will also be available in Zen Pinball 2 on PS3 and PS Vita for $2.99.

Here’s the table lineup for Zen Pinball 2 on PS4:

    •Star Wars Pinball
•Star Wars Pinball: Balance of the Force
    •Marvel Pinball
    •Marvel Pinball:Avengers Chronicles
    •Marvel’s Doctor Strange
    •Plants vs. Zombies Pinball
    •Epic Quest
    •Paranormal
    •Earth Defense

Zen Studios has HUGE plans for pinball in 2014, including more Star Wars Pinball and Marvel Pinball tables, as well as tables based on more iconic and exciting brands. We can’t wait to share all the pinball goodness!

I love Zen Pinball. Glad all the tables are free since I own them on PS3 and Vita.

So, this is not the same as Pinball Arcade that I just downloaded? If not, did this one get pushed back?

I had forgotten about pinball on PS4 until I was looking for the NBA 2k thread, haha. Tales of the Arabian Nights is the free table on Pinball Arcade and it's a lot of fun for sure. Haven't bought any tables yet, but I'm sure I will. There are a few of those tables that I used to play the real versions of.

It must have gotten pushed back. The difference is Pinball Arcade is real life tables. Zen does a better job at connectivity among friends and they have great tables too.

This is in the store now! Remember if you owned any tables on PS3, they automatically carry over to PS4.

The base game itself is free, and comes with one or two tables.

Then each separate Marvel and Star Wars pack is about $10. Individual tables by themselves are around $2 or $3, for PS4 there are individual tables like Epic Quest and Plants vs. Zombies, both really fun tables.

If the PSN is cooperating, I might stream some of this tonight.

Does anybody else play this besides JB and myself?

Anybody that is on the fence about getting the free table, it would be worth the download. The free table is a lot of fun and you get the full table for free. Same with the free table on Pinball Arcade. I was a little skeptical of these pinball games but they are really fun and play pretty true to real pinball.

I don't know what it is about the Boba Fett table, but it is seriously challenging for me. I have had several sub-million games.

I love both pinball games. Just wish Pinball Arcade had friends leaderboards.

I haven't downloaded zen pinball but I find the free table on pinball arcade is a blast. I think I am going to pick up the Star Trek table pack. What is the biggest difference between pinball arcade and zen pinball???

Pinball Arcade is basically a real table emulator while Zen Pinball is a little more of a video game version of pinball. Sometimes I find the stuff in Zen a bit over the top, but most of their tables are really fun. The thing that sets Zen apart, really, is that it keeps high scores across your friends list, while Pinball Arcade high scores are local only.

I have only bought a handful of Pinball Arcade tables. The free one, Tales of the Arabian Nights, really is one of the best. It's fun to have some of these tables that I have dropped a lot of coins into over the years, like Bride of Pinbot, Attack From Mars, Star Trek TNG, etc.

Zen's free table, the Sorcerer's Lair, is also a great table. Definitely worth the download. I have all the Zen tables now. Like I said, some of them are a bit video game-y to me, but they are all really fun. And I think I've beat JB's score on all of them.

Most of these tables you haven't registered a score on.

I'm going through some tables while I'm still semi-sober, trying to raise the bar a touch.

I only played two tables last night as I couldn't connect to Zen online as I was downloading updates on the PS4 and games on the PS3 and Vita so the bandwidth was taken.

I know it's not the right thread but Pinball arcade doesn't have a forum so here goes. I played all of the table last night for demos. It's nice that you can try out all of the table before purchasing. Damn some of them are fun. I am going to buy Star Trek as well as the two Elvira Tables. What I like about pinball arcade is that it really is like I am a kid again at the arcade. Seeing "TILT" come up when shaking too hard... AWESOME! I al looking forward to season two. How many people have tables on pinball arcade?

Reading these are intriguing me to get into playing as I used to play them all the time in the bowling alley and have always enjoyed it very much!

Pinball arcade really is a lot of fun. However, it's best with another person or two as you try to top each other's scores. If you were a kid in the 80's/early 90's this is like walking back into history...

I'm starting to wear out the L1 & R1 buttons on one of my controllers playing these pinball games.
