Played an OD game against the CPU last night, it was 7-6 at halftime.
Played Kia in an OD game the other night. Final was 20-7.

The dude abides.
I beat Nevada 14-9 in my UNLV dynasty. Both teams were well under 300 yards. However, the next game I beat Wyoming 28-27. My qb went 34-45 for 496 yards 2 td's and 2 ints. The cpu qb was 26-42 for 291 yards and 3 td's. The overall yards for both offenses was almost 950 yards. There is d in this game but it's not the majority of games.
We complain because there is no fucking defense. I'm playing Tulsa at Utah State (I'm Utah State). Early 2nd quarter, Tulsa is 6-6 for on third downs. They've converted on third and 7, third and 3, third and 13, third and 6, third and 5 and finally third and 9.
It doesn't matter what play I call, it doesn't matter what play Tulsa calls. They'll complete a pass underneath, my guy will attempt to tackle to force fourth down, the Tulsa player will shake the tackle off like it's nothing and pick up the first down before the game finally allows my players to tackle him. There is no one on one tackling in this game. Anything short of a 3 (or more) on one gang tackle, you may as well not even fucking bother, because the offensive player will just shake that shit off no matter what.
Gave up a 40 yard pass on that third and 7 like that. It was a throw underneath to the left. My cornerback had a one on one, all he had to do was tackle him and it would have been, at most, a one or two yard gain. The receiver just shook that shit right off and proceeded to sprint down the field 40 yards (shaking off my outside linebacker's tackle attempt also) before my safety could trip him up. There's almost no point in trying. I'm about ready to just say fuck it and go full Super Sim on defense from now on. Why subject myself to that shit every play? At least, if anything, it'll make the game go faster and I can get past that shit faster.
The defense is a mockery in this game. By this time I would have played 100 games online yet have only played 25. There is no enjoyment in non stop 50-40 shoot outs. The pass coverage is a joke. You have to either nano blitz or play phag d to stop any competent user with decent pass plays. I'll be playing a lot more 2k this year.
Believe it or not, I actually started to find some semblance of a defense in the second half of the game with the sliders I've been using. After I jacked up defensive sliders at halftime. Super-boosting tackling seemed to help, my players started to actually be able to tackle one on one. And actually tackle properly, not have to constantly ankle tackle. Now I just have to see how the "new" sliders actually play out in a full game, with San Jose State up next in my dynasty.
I play an online dynasty with one other user. In year 2 of our dynasty I am in my first years as the head coach at Oregon. We play with default All American settings. I will agree that offense is much too easy against the CPU, but I generally have no problem stopping or at least slowing down the CPU offense. In my first 7 games this season I've given up 7, 7, 14, 19, 7, 10, & 7 points. In the first season, where I was head coach at Nevada, I had similar scores.
the cpu in general is just fucked up. i'm playing an offline dynasty game as USC against colorado, and their qb started out 0-12, then hit 3 straight receivers, then missed on his next 8, and is now 6-26 with 6 ints. its either hit him perfectly or miss by 50 yards.
and talk about a joke of the infinity engine. their 175 lb running back took 1 step and trucked my DE who was running full speed.
This is from my last complete season in my Heisman difficulty Michigan (rated 99/99/99) offline dynasty. I'll play some man coverage, but I probably sit in zone more than 75% of the time (lots of different zones and zone blitzes mixed up really well).
The stats are:
#1 total D (280 YPG)
#44 pass D (196 YPG) {this is mainly because teams pass against me a lot in the 2nd half because they're trailing}
#1 rush D (84 YPG) {See above}
#1 PAPG (16.7 PAPG)
#2 sacks (3.8 sacks PG)
Here is my vastly inferior 88/88/87 Illinois OD team's D:
This is 10 games into 2015. My D in the first 2 seasons (when I had the worst team in our 12 user B1G conference both seasons) was atrocious! But now that my D is getting more talented (87 now instead of being in the 70s/low 80s) my numbers have improved a LOT. They're not on par with my Michigan team's stats, but the D isn't nearly as talented yet either. I'm guessing once my team gets to that level, my D's numbers will keep improving.
I can't imagine getting 50-40 shootouts in game with 5 minute quarters (I'm assuming you're talking about ranked matches). We don't allow nano blitzing on TSO (and I very rarely can get sacks against other users except for the occasional coverage sack) and I think your other option is 2 man under, which I don't use much of as I play zone 75+ % of the time. Here's my current season in my OD:
The USER games I've played are in bold. The most points I've scored against a user is 34 (which is the LEAST I've scored against the CPU) and the 3 users I've played with my 88/88/87 Illinois team (93/95/92 MSU, 97/97/95 Michigan, and 90/97/83 Wisconsin) are only averaging 13.3 PPG against me. This is with 7 minute quarters.
It's been my experience that USER games are WAY lower scoring than CPU games.

What quarter length are you using?
Edit: NM, just saw 7 minutes.
I'm using Tapatalk 2 and the Cleveland Browns STILL suck.
