You don't think it's a big deal that the guy breaks NCAA rules, lies about it, truth comes to light, the NCAA slaps him on the wrist because they're hypocrites, and then he makes a joke about it on National TV?! He's lucky to be playing at all this year and he's making a fuckin' joke about not getting caught cheating!

Not only are his "antics" low class (I know that is subjective) but it shows poor sportsmanship on his part. Course in a few more years "sportsmanship", love of the "game" etc will be dead.

Man i think sportsmanship and love of the game only lives in high school and maybe the fcs schools, any top tier athlete can't convince me they do it for the love anymore.

Let me say i think a few athlets do have that love but by in largeits dead.

I'm not one who thinks players should be paid but I have no problem if a kid gets paid under the table for signing a whole bunch of stuff. There are only so many real superstars in college football who are going pro so they should be able to profit while they can. Not, "give your family a house a new car to come to our school" profit but, "sign a couple of things for me and I'll hook you up with spending money" profit.

The fact that the culture has killed sportsmanship does not make it right, but by all means pursue those dollars, just remember no amount of money can ever buy class. Just like a lack of money does not mean one is low class.

So it is the amount not the act itself?

No, that's not it. A school or big money booster buying off a family with benefits is totally different then JM getting autograph money or Pryor selling his pants for tattoo money.

Sorry, other than the amount, and what it is used for I see no difference. He took money that he should not have.

It is against the rules, some people care about these things, others not so much. Texas Tech was once penalized for a coach buying Dairy Queen for a recruit. Seems small but it was a rule and they broke it. If a kid does not want to do it for the "love" they can hand that $50,000 scholarship back to their respective colleges.

There are two kinds of football fans. The guy who smiled when Barry Sanders would hand the ball to a ref after a touchdown. The guy who thought "The U" and their antics were cool. Look guys I tackled someone, lets dance!

There are plenty of states where oral sex is technically illegal. Some rules are just dumb and I have no issue with people whole break dumb rules.

Not a big fan of Dodd's, but he does have a point.

I think what bugs me more is after the flag. After his coach got on to him, he more or less told the coach, screw you! That is one of the biggest problem that I have with him right now.

For me it's his lack of class and sportsmanship. You win with dignity and you lose with dignity, never show anyone up.

I'm not advocating breaking rules and not showing good sportsmanship and all that. I'm just saying that I found the money and autograph taunts to be funny and they didn't bother me. The one where he got flagged was obviously unnecessary but what's done is done. Hopefully it's a lesson learned.

I always loved JoePa's statement of "act like you've been there before"

My personality would probably be more of the Barry Sanders..but I loved the "U" for dancing and stuff, I always felt like if you don't like it stop them.

Throw a party like it's 1999? I was just brought up differently in regards to football. Play hard, shake the guys hand after the game and try not to get any yellow flags.
