Well, my prediction of another FCS upset today hasn't been too far off. West Virginia only beat William & Mary 24-17, Illinois only beat Southern Illinois 42-34, Boston College only beat Villanova 24-14, Eastern Michigan only beat Howard 34-24.

For games still in action, Oregon State is only beating Eastern Washington 46-43 with 20 seconds left (EWU on the OSU 2), Eastern Illinois is leading San Diego State 19-13 in the late 2nd quarter, Northern Iowa is leading Iowa State 21-14 in the late 2nd quarter.

FCS teams making a decent showing this weekend.

And Eastern Washington now has a 49-46 lead over #25 Oregon State with 9 seconds to play.

And Eastern Washington pulls it off! A missed 52 yard field goal attempt by #25 Oregon State with no time left seals the 49-46 upset victory for Eastern Washington.

    Add 2 more FCS wins.

    Eastern Washington beats Oregon St

McNeese St is just destroying South Florida

In accordance with Tiburon this site does NOT recognize EWU and McNeese. Please refer to them by their "proper" names of FCS West and FCS South.

    Tiburon can bite me.

Tell them to come back when they learn to code a proper defense.

    Edited for more funny.

Tip to FBS teams. Stop scheduling FCS teams in the opener, especially those teams that made it to the playoffs. It is a lose-lose proposition.

Yeah. Granted some of these games were probably contracted a couple years ago (not sure how far out one needs to contract with a FCS team), but teams like Eastern Washington, North Dakota State, Appalachian State, Villanova, if you're not just straight up damn better or damn ready, they're gonna shock you.

Those four teams for instance, have combined for four of the last five FCS national champions (Appalachian State 2005-2007, Richmond 2008, Villanova 2009, Eastern Washington 2010, North Dakota State 2011-2012). They may not play regularly on the FBS level, but they do have talent and know how to win. And #25 Oregon State and Kansas State found that out the hard way this weekend.

Ouch. Second offensive play of the game, Boise State intercepts Washington, Broncos with the ball at their 44 yard line only 20 seconds into the game.

And three plays later, Washington intercepts the ball right back.

While scheduled years in advance there are certain teams that are consistently good FCS teams and should be avoided. The above teams plus off the top of my head Northern Iowa, Delaware, Montana, Georgia Southern and Sam Houston. Don't schedule them.

Do these dumbasses not know how to dive? Washington chucks one up in the end zone, the ball is literally just outside the reach of the receiver's hands, what does he do? He pulls up, slows down, pulls his hands in towards his body and just watches the ball land in the end zone. A simple dive and he would have easily been able to catch that ball for an incredible touchdown, one that would probably make the overnight highlight reels. Instead, nope, just gives up and watches it fall incomplete right in front of him.

Oh yeah, Northern Iowa has been pulling upsets or near upsets for years now. It was just last year or not long ago that they nearly knocked off Iowa (and actually did one year I think). Iowa State is learning that lesson the hard way right now. Navy's been bit or nearly bit by Delaware a couple times in the last half-decade. Of course, Navy keeps scheduling Delaware (they play on September 14th this year).

Yeah, there are a number of FCS teams that you just don't schedule unless you're Alabama or Ohio State. Anyone else, you're better off scheduling a bottom feeder from the Sun Belt or MAC.

Ouch. Yeah, better hope y'all can cakewalk through the C-USA. 0-4 is a certainty with that upcoming lineup, especially if you couldn't beat Texas State.

Texas St is my NCAA 14 dynasty team. So Miss beat us by a touchdown. Hopefully that will help to soak up the pain of losing to Texas St at home IRL.

    Spoiler: show
Nah, I whipped So Miss by 17 and it was not even that close. Just wanted to make souljah feel better, hopefully he does not read these spoilers.
