I hate retailers using Black Friday for sales when it's not Black Friday.

They are able to because the consumers are dumb enough for it to draw them in.

    lol

lol I use to work for Food Lion while in college

Sales/pricing lady told me one day reason they put things on the end caps because they know people will buy them. Most of the time they aren't even on sale, just on the end cap because people think they are on sale. A bag of chips will be $2.50 regular price.

So they will just put them 2/$5 and people buy them up like crazy all because how they are presented.

...Black Friday sale in July you say? haha

I remember getting an e-mail from Comp USA on almost a weekly basis "Black Friday Prices" ... go fuck yourself.

Best Buy is having Black Friday in July tomorrow and Saturday.

I actually work for a large Grocery store in the south and I know for a fact this is true. I was a manager for about 5 years and we had a policy to put "sale signs" on items we had excess inventory on with the regular price. You would be amazed at how much it increases the sales of these items. You put items in the middle of the speedway and regardless of whether or not it is normal retail price people will impulse buy because they believe it to be on sale.

Yeeeeeah. It's amazing how Amazon makes Best Buy and Target look inferior. I walked into a Best Buy last week for the first time in forever and shook my head many times at prices.

Ask kids to figure a % increase from last year's sales or bring up an issue that requires fractions and watch the comedy begin.

Another thing about Amazon > Best Buy. I don't have to drive through traffic or even leave the house, and I pay less? Sign me up!

I use Best Buy as an Amazon showroom . On the plus side I was browsing in there this morning and came across that 3 in 1 Assassin's Creed set for $39.99. Gamestop just dropped it to $19.99 (why it is $34.99 used I have no clue) on the web. I asked Miss perky BB clerk if they would match and she said yes

So could you show them the Amazon price on your smartphone and they match, is that right?

Regardless I have Prime, so I can wait two days.

Showed them the Gamestop price and boom. I think clw posted that a BB manager told him Amazon was not a competitor. Maybe things have changed

Hell, ask them to figure out the change they need to give a customer without the register doing it for them!

I thought I saw that Amazon was included once they started doing that matching.

For any of you interested. Three games in one for $19.99 and BB matched so no shipping charge and no sales tax here in MT
