I would love to see GB and Seattle in a demo matchup. The SF/Baltimore game would be good too. I am very interested to see if the read option is too overpowered in Madden like it is in NCAA.

I am patiently waiting for the release of the Madden 25 demo. I haven't put much thought into the teams but it usually contains the previous Super Bowl champions. I will say 2 match-ups San Francisco vs. Atlanta and Denver vs. Baltimore. I would think they would want to show off the "Run Free" aspect and the precision modifier.

It would be great if our site had some input for Madden. The NCAA devs seem to really appreciate the insight from members of TGT. IU know Madden isn't huge on this forum as not a lot of people here play it, but I have been playing Madden a long time and after all of the patches last year, Madden 13 was a very, very good game. I suspect Madden 25 will be even more polished.

I really play Madden and have been for years.

I thought JB and the guys did have some input at one point since those bastards get the game early . But think he told me a while ago that they didn't.

I'd love to contribute input if possible here. Rather not go to any other sites to try to do so really.

I have no idea if EA reads our Madden thoughts here or if they make a difference. I would be curious to know.

Part of the problem IMO is that the Madden community is completely fractured. You've got Madden game changers like Shop with his own site, Madsci has hardcore gamers, Under the Code is formed, YouTube guys, OS although EA seems to avoid those Madden forums now. That's one good thing about this site - many NCAA game changers are here and the forum traffic and discussion is a good amount (not too light and not flooded with ignorant or redundant posts). All of those smaller Madden sites compete with each other and the traffic and forum discussion ends up early low and they struggle. I miss the old days (I think) of Madden Planet and Madden Mania where there was a large core group dedicated to Madden specifically.

Joe Flacco is now clutch. The only change in this area.

I think it's time to take Champ Bailey off the list. I'm a huge fan but time has caught up with him IMO. Tebow is still clutch???

Who really wants to be a Madden Game Changer from this site? I would like to experience it for at least one day but I don't want to spend my vacation time at EA instead of my family. We're going to Disney World at the end of October btw. I definitely don't want the full time job - and yes it does seem like a job for these guys.

As for the clutch guys I agree. The list needs more updating.

FULL LIST (I will bold the guys I think could be removed and I agree with Champ's removal after that last playoff game).
    CB Darrelle Revis (TB)
    CB Champ Bailey (DEN)
    FS Eric Weddle (SD)
    FS Ed Reed (HOU)
    FS Charles Woodson (OAK)
    HB Marshawn Lynch (SEA)
    HB Ray Rice (BAL)
    HB Frank Gore (SF)
    HB Maurice Jones-Drew (JAX)
    K Rob Bironas (TEN)
    K Adam Vinatieri (IND)

    K Matt Prater (DEN)
    LT Joe Thomas (CLE)
    MLB Patrick Willis (SF)
    MLB Derrick Johnson (KC)
    QB Aaron Rodgers (GB)
    QB Tom Brady (NE)
    QB Peyton Manning (DEN)
    QB Drew Brees (NO)
    QB Joe Flacco (BAL)
    QB Ben Roethlisberger (PIT)
    QB Eli Manning (NYG)
    QB Tim Tebow (NE)
    RE Justin Smith (SF)
    RE DeMarcus Ware (DAL)
    RE Jared Allen (MIN)
    ROLB Clay Matthews (GB)
SS Troy Polamalu (PIT) - the guy hasn't been healthy and dominant in awhile

I know he's older and it's his last season but I have always been a HUGE Tony Gonzalez fan. The guy is clutch IMO.

I think AJ Green, Matt Ryan, Brandon Marshall, Reggie Wayne, Adrian Peterson, and JJ Watt should all be on the list.

I don't think the only criteria should be clutch performances in playoff games. I would say clutch players almost always step up in crunch-time or make a big play when it is needed by their team. Nobody comes through 100% of the time, but clutch players just seem to make far more plays when it counts than the rest of the guys.

I would argue clutch means playing better than you usually do when it really counts. It doesn't have to be great players either.

I would argue against Matt Ryan. He did not play well in the playoffs or crunch time until last year. I know they call him Matty Ice but I need to see him win big games a little more often. Quite frankly I forgot to bold Peyton Manning above. He's a great player but I don't think he's clutch. His brother Eli is as his play elevates in crunch time. Peyton has been one and done 8 times in the playoffs! He certainly wasn't clutch in last year's playoff game. He's a great player. Maybe the best QB of all time but his play does NOT go up in big games, it usually goes down.

Did Madden finally work on penalites? Illegal touching was called in this video. (video quality is terrible)

A couple Madden preview videos courtesy of Evil Source Gaming. The first video is all about Creating a Player (single player mode) in Franchise.

Gameplay within Create a Player Franchise mode. You do get gameplay vids in this one. He's a QB so it's LOTS of passing. The second game you see him run the read-option. He must have it on a very easy setting as he made the wrong read one time and still ran over a defensive player. He actually makes the wrong read quite a bit it seems.

    First thoughts from the videos:

    1. As I expected it pretty much looks like Madden 13 sprinkled with NCAA 14
    2. Commentay is soooooo much better in Madden vs NCAA
    3. Visuals are so much better in Madden vs NCAA

I know this guy was playing on the lowest level but I do have some concerns that defense will be soft in Madden as well.

Apparently those videos are from the retail copy of the game. What you see there is what you will be getting in late August. I guess the team is full on working on MADDEN 25 FOR ps4/XB1.

EDIT: it has since been confirmed that is NOT retail.
