Bingo.For someone who spends a lot of time on their console, no, $400 and $500 isn't anything. For someone like you who spends most of their time on a more powerful PC, then no, I can't see the value there for you. Again, they're not marketing this towards PC players. They're marketing this towards console players who are looking to upgrade to a next generation console, not a PC. Again, you're only focusing on yourself and not the entire market.
As a console-only gamer these days, I am the market. I went away from PCs due to having to spend so much damn money to have a badass gaming PC.....continuously upgrading versus spending the console price once every 5 years or however long it has been. Spending that much on either of them isn't something I'm excited to do, but looking at the value I'd get for the feature set doesn't seem ludicrous to me, i.e. not just a gaming console of old like an old PS or Nintendo that ONLY does games.
