From IGN:
Basically, if you have an Astro and are getting a One, you're screwed when it comes to chatting. If you're getting a PS4, the included cable should work and you wont have to buy anything else. Audio will obviously still work on both since they both have optical audio ports. While Astro and Microsoft have yet to formally announce a partnership, Astro Gaming marketing chief, Aron Drayer, is confident that the company will be able to bring solutions to market in the "near future." As part of Microsoft's new proprietary format, Drayer says that cross-platform compatibility, like that found in the A40 headset, will likely be impossible. Despite the limitations Microsoft has placed on peripherals, Astro is looking forward to working on the platform:
"We love what they are doing," Drayer said. "It's super progressive, and we're really excited to potentially partner with them."
As for the PlayStation 4, Astro is anticipating many of the same standards found on the PlayStation 3, including USB and Bluetooth support, as well as the new chat port on the DualShock 4.

No demos? That would really suck!!! The demo is often the deciding factor for me in a purchase.
yes wtf no more demosdamn that would suck hair monkey balls. Don't kill the demo's Sony/MS come on man. It's all we look forward for NCAA/Madden sport games in general.
I'm sort of split. Sports games, meh, I've got season ticket. I've played the NCAA '14 demo exactly one time since it was released. And that one time consisted of me playing Ohio State-Michigan for exactly one half until I dashboarded out at halftime to play something else. So EA Sports demos, not the least bit concerned about. Season Ticket is my "demo".
Now for other games, I would miss demos. I probably never would have bought Bulletstorm Tuesday night if I hadn't played the demo before, nor be waiting for the bastards at MS to list XCom on their sale so I can buy it if I hadn't previously played the demo, and I probably wouldn't have bought Sniper Elite V2 back in April or May if I hadn't played the demo first. While walkthrough/playthrough videos on Youtube are great and all, I want to have the actual hands on experience of the demo to sell me on getting the game.
However, on the flip side, I've bought probably 10x more games without ever playing a demo. I bought Red Dead Redemption back when it came out just based on recommendation from the Gamestop employee while I was browsing games. He told me about the game, told me of his experiences with it (and its wildlife) and it sold me without playing a demo or watching a video.
Overall, I'll ultimately be fine without demos. My game purchases have largely been wrapped up into certain games and series that I know I will enjoy from playing predecessors of them. For the games/series that I have never played before, I'll just do what I did with Bulletstorm, Crysis and H.A.W.X., wait until it drops to $5 or $10 on Xbox Live, either permanently or during a sale, and take the cheap gamble on it.
Hm, I like having demos available, as some games I'm not too sure I'd like or are my style, but it allows me to try different types of games that I wouldn't bother otherwise.
Feel bad for IOU guys he's going through allot right now:

Pretty sure you're the one who'll relentlessly defend one brand while trashing the other, not me.
As I've said before, I think brand loyalty is just weird. Unless I have stock with one of the companies, I don't care who does better.
Analyst Believes The PS4, Xbox One And Wii U Won't Match Their Predecessor's Sales

If they're talking combined, then they're probably right. The Wii sold like gangbusters so it would take an EXTREMELY hot console to equal that. The One has no chance due to manufacturing, the Wii U has been dead-on-arrival so far, and I don't think the PS4 is going to be able to sell that much to make up for the other 2. I'd say there's going to be an even bigger decline than what they're expecting.
With the ability to do more, there could be a renaissance in gaming.

The dude abides.
I think if you exclude Wii sales from the equation I could see PS4/Xb1 combined doing better than PS3/360. However, I currently forecast PS4 picking up market share but not anything significant in terms of "new" gamers.
The article is right there isn't anything revolutionary coming this time. I mean seriously who want's to use their console to watch t.v.? Wii got hot with casuals and they are gone now.
I'm sure a good many people will use the TV features, but that doesn't mean it's "revolutionary."
This generation is going to be all about improved draw distances, pretty effects, and more shit on the screen. We're also going to see more games released more quickly simply because Sony is no longer using a hard to develop for architecture so developers will be able to crank out games much quicker for all systems.
I don't even think that PS4/One can match PS3/360 to be honest. I'm sure it'll be close either way, but I don't see some massive growth. Overall, though, versus PS3/360/Wii there's no chance because none of these consoles have that *whatever it was that the Wii had* so none of them are going to sell as well as it did. I mean, the Wii STILL has a 20+ million lead on units sold over the 360 and PS3.![]()
