Not in a billion years. The PS3 was where it was at because of it's absolutely outrageous price tag, the complete lack of exclusives for the first several years, and the fact the system was nothing but a pain in the ass to develop for, not to mention it launched a year behind the 360.
The Xbox One has none of these problems. The price tag is more than reasonable considering the camera is included. It's got several exclusives that people are always excited for (Ryse, Dead Rising 3, and the jaw dropping Titanfall). It's using a similar architecture to what the 360 used and what the PS4 is using, so ease of development will still be there. Plus, they'll be launching within a few weeks of the PS4 either way, so that advantage isn't there, either.
They did what they had to do, IMO. They locked up timed exclusive content to the 2 biggest games in existence which will definitely coax consumers to buy their system (don't underestimate the power of having timed content on Call of Duty and Battlefield), especially the shooter fans. They introduced a system that will allow used games with no restrictions (I'm still pissed they changed everything, FYI) so no drawback there. Plus, they're going to appeal to families with all the TV features and all that garbage.
The 360 dominated America and regardless of price, it might not be as lopsided, but I'm pretty certain they'll win America again. It was always really close in Europe, and I don't see any reason for that to change. Sony will probably have a little bit bigger of a lead because of the TV stuff being suited for America, but it wont be a massive difference. Sony will own Japan like always.
Neither one of these systems is going to vastly outsell the other. In certain areas, Sony's console is much better, however, in other areas, Microsoft's console is much better. It's going to be a repeat of this generation, IMO, too close to care about.
