That's potentially the deal breaker for me. I would never do anything to get banned, but I've been accidentally banned before and had to go through a whole mess to get it corrected. I don't agree with that policy at all.

What happened with your issues of the camera and mic being always on? Being serious for a change, I want to know. I had four original Xboxes, one for each tv all linked for Halo parties with my friends. Had to go through three 360's (red rings)before I gave up on the thing. Had my mind made up as a consumer before anything was ever announced. With all the unfriendly restrictions and settings on this machine there is no exclusive game that could earn my $$$. Believe me, I really want Dead Rising 3![]()
You can turn off the camera and when it's off it's only listening for the "Xbox on" command, which I don't have a problem with. I don't care about the 24 hour check either because I'm always connected anyway.
However, potentially having all my games removed if I were to get banned is something I do have a problem with.

And if you believe that company line I have some ocean front property to sell you in Kansas.
There is NO way it can only listen for one thing without recognizing everything else it may only respond if you say "Crapbox on" but it's there and it's listening and the NSA will have that info and MS will sell that info to its "partners" for advertising purposes.
If you don't have a problem with it fine that's one thing its another to deny the reality that Kinect 2.0 requires you to give up some "privacy rights". I GUARANTEE you it will eventually leak that MS has either (1) sold info it has learned to other companies and/or (2) the government uses it to collect information on you (for the good of the country of course).
You can turn off the voice commands completely so that it's not listening for anything. You then couldn't turn on the system with voice commands, obviously, but at least it can all be disabled. I mean, even if it did constantly listen to me and couldn't be disabled, it's not like I have anything to hide.![]()
It depends on whether or not it's able to do the license checks while the system is in it's low power state. If it does, then I'm sure that's all you would need to do. However, if it doesn't, then you would need to actually have it powered on and connected for it to do it's check. To my knowledge, Microsoft has not confirmed whether or not the system will check for licenses while in it's low powered state.
I'd imagine if you have your system completely powered off that it wouldn't do the check and it would just do it the next time you log on. If you log on after not playing for a day and you aren't connected, I'd imagine you wouldn't be able to play until you did.

Major Nelson interview of questions asked by Reddit.
If someone is banned, whether their fault or not, will they lose access to the games they purchase?
"Absolutely not, you will always have access to the games you purchased."
What happens if I get banned for griefing?
"Then we're going to kick people out of the multiplayer."
So no different than the 360 if he is correct. Will have to wait and see. Though it does present an interesting scenario for an MMO.
At least they answered questions. Sony declined after seeing some of the hardware questions.
Oh there is no doubt that hole they are digging is getting pretty damn close to China. Which is ironic as China is just one of hundreds of countries that will not be able to play Xbox One at launch.
I have pretty much decided on a PS4 when the time comes and keeping my 360 so I can still play all my XBLA games.
JB are you gonna have enough HDMI ports ? HA that would be an even bigger problem. I know my tv only has two![]()
