Also will there be a Punter over the rating of 3 stars for a change, and does playing time come into factor when trying to recruit them. I try to keep 5 or 6 on my team just in case, ones having a bad day.....

    Oh.... You're serious?

It's an absolute JOKE in this series. Show me some real life examples where DB's are mugging WR's at the LOS for two seconds at a time. In fact, show me some clips where they are actively trying to beat receivers up at the line: in real life that's way too dangerous to even attempt since any decent WR can get open deep if he does a good job keeping his hands free. Real press is usually a soft jam with the off hand as the CB looks to stay tight to the receiver and play his inside hip, NOT the crap that's happened in this series forever. And let's not even mention route mirroring that continues indefinitely, thus encouraging people to drop 9/10 people into coverage (not even Deion Sanders in his prime could stick with a WR for more than 5 seconds).

With that said, if you want to make an argument that it's designed this way intentionally in order to cater to the average fan, then I would totally buy that: what's the number one thing your average dipshit fan always bitches about his favorite team's defense? "Why do we play so soft on the outside with our corners?" In Joe Sixpack's mind, his team would play lights out defense and stop everything if only his favorite team played bump and run every down and brought heat constantly. Nevermind the fact that in order to even attempt to do anything like that you have to have excellent athletes across the board with a sound scheme in place to deal with Bunch/Stack/Motion (see FSU at the end of Mickey Andrews' tenure as DC for a real life example of a defense trying to execute this style without the dudes).

Long story short, WR/DB should be 1b (after OL/DL play) in terms of what's specifically overhauled with the next gen games.
Can I get an amen! In all seriousness, completely agree.

I'd really like to see some footage using the "Wide" Camera. I like the coordinator cam but the wide camera intrigues me. If it lets me see all of my receivers while staying closer to the action, I think it might be the one I end up using.

In the LSU video it still looks like there is some swerve running. But it still looks good!

I hope the D plays the speed option better than they did in the skills trainer video. On the 1st one the DE followed the QB the entire time, even long after he pitched the ball and even when he turned away from the ball carrier. However, I'd imagine that in the skills trainer the D players (at least in this early stage where they're teaching the user to do 1 thing and 1 thing only) are programmed to only do 1 thing so he was programmed to follow the QB everywhere.

For anyone that's used it, is that how the skills trainer works?

I'm sure it works like that and you have to remember the first levels probably start on a low difficulty

Has there been a video yet that shows any of the new option plays? Any of the flexbone stuff or the midline read or inverted veer from the spread?

Damn man... Was really hoping we'd have some more videos by now. I've got jury duty in about 20 minutes and need something to do while I wait.

Just because your name is punter doesn't mean you can request such ridiculous things

Yea we are def getting the short end of the stick for videos and information. My guess is that the dec team is waiting underneath the dinner table like a hungry dog waiting for the next gen madden team to finish up and throw them their scraps.

Only because whoever was on it previously had the game speed on very fast and the min speed threshold at 0. The user ended up changing it after he figured it out.

Cut the quote in an effort to conserve space. But I was going to say too that I think the play was made that way to both cater to the casual fan AND meet the horrific blocking halfway. At least to me, when a qb has 5, 6, 7 seconds to throw, you have to do something that will allow the defense to slow down the wrs for more time. If the game was accurate on the offensive line and you got 3, 4, 5 seconds to throw instead (and even that's a little to long), the bump and run would have been one of the biggest complaints over the past couple years and probably would've got addressed. It really shouldn't be a difficult thing to change.

madscientist was supposed to have uploaded the rest of that Michigan vs Oklahoma State game by now. Also, @steve_OS said he was going to upload an army vs navy game. Don't know what happened...

LOL its a video game for all ages. No one wants real time anxiety. It will never in essence be a realistic sim type game. Its a game for playing, not a project for research and practice even though some approach it that way LOL.

its a video game, you want to see the player movement, watch the play develop, enjoy the animations. Real world is not the video game and vice versa. The game does have enough ( up to this point) of a reality base so far though. People with a little more football knowledge can and do beat people that don't. But all video games will always be about fantasy and fun. a 3 second time window or less on every play is not a fun factor

Then by that factor, all those bitching about helmets, facemasks, socks, etc just lost their basis for argument.
