500GB hard drive is included; controllers cost $60

A tidbit that went unmentioned at Sony’s press conference was the size of the internal hard drive in PS4. That’s now confirmed to be 500GB according to an SCEI press release that just hit the wires. It’s good to hear Sony didn’t skimp on HDD capacity, given that digital downloads are becoming an increased focused these days.

Additionally, the price of an extra DualShock 4 controller will set you back $60 at MSRP. This represents a bit of a premium on the peripheral side over previous generations, though we suppose the extra tech in the PS4 controller such as the touch pad may warrant it.

If games aren't drastically bigger, 500GB will be just fine.

Eh, what the hell, went ahead and pre-ordered on Amazon. Doubt I'll keep both pre-orders, especially since $900 is a hefty price around the holidays. Most likely will drop PS4 later on and get Xbox One at release (if I decide to in fact get it on day one), and then look at PS4 maybe in 2014. But, doesn't hurt to have both placed on pre-order so I can worry about choosing later.

Want some advice? Order both, keep the one you really want, sell the other for easily double your profit. Order another when they come back in stock. Free PS4 or One. I'm not doing that, but I should.

No kidding. As long as you don't get a non-paying douche on eBay.

That's why I'm probably not doing it. They seem to be attracted to me for some reason.

Camera (not included) will cost $59.

The internal design architecture of the PS4 system, from the optical drive and power
supply unit to the cooling mechanism, has been pursed to keep the body as slim and light as
possible to dramatically enhance the flexibility of the design.

The PS4 features a simple but modern design accentuated by its linear flat form factors.
The surface of the PS4 body is subdivided into four sections, as if four blocks are stacked
together making one figure, with disc slot, buttons, power indicator and vent placed within the
slim interspace created between the sections. The power indicator designed atop the body will
glow in a PlayStation blue color when the power button is turned on. The foreside and
backside of the body is slightly angled; it not only gives users easy access to the power button
and disc slot when placed either horizontally or vertically but also helps conceal the connected
cables. The black-themed color along with the matte and gloss finish adds a sophisticated look
to the PS4 system as the next generation entertainment system and will fit perfectly wherever it
    is placed.

Since February 2013, the number of developers joining has increased from
    126 to 505.

The PS4 hard drive is swappable just like the PS3.

As for buying extra consoles and selling for a profit I wouldn't bother. That worked back in the PS2 days but it certainly didn't work for the Wii U and at these prices I don't see a crazy demand to outstrip supply.

I LOVE ME SOME SONY! The hits just keep on coming on things PS4 can do that XB1 cannot.
