At its E3 press briefing, Sony confirmed that PlayStation 4 will require PlayStation Plus will be required in order to play games online. This is similar to Microsoft's current approach to online gaming with Xbox Live Gold. Sony also confirmed that you'll be able to play all single-player games as well as use all media services without subscribing to PS+.

I said it'll "be the same," meaning publishers will either require the game to be online at all times or it'll require a one time use code to play the game at all. If they don't do that, THEN I'll admit you're right. I dropped the "Sony will do it" as soon as they released that statement 2 or 3 weeks ago.

I'm not dropping my One order, either. I'm getting both. I don't care about DRM.

The way to look at this entire DRM thing is if the publishers requires it on Xbox you can rest assure they will require it on PS4....it mostly means protecting their bottom line I would imagine most would require some form of DRM especially the multi-platform games.

The exclusives might not care as much though.
