Holy cow. Lisa Lampanelli is now down to 130 lbs.

Man if she was actually cute she looked better fat ( honestly I don't think she was that big, or at a minimum she wasn't sloppy), sometimes being fat is just who you are, everyone doesn't need to be skinny.

From Rolling Stone - Readers' Poll: The Ten Worst Bands of the Nineties

    http://www.rollingstone.com/music/pi...eties-20130509

    5. Nirvana

I will give RS credit though as they posted this with it.

What the fuck happened here? Did the members of Warrant, Mötley Crüe, Poison and Bang Tango come together to stuff the ballot boxes? Who hates Nirvana? Sure, the crazy success of Nevermind meant that many Eighties superstars seemed like premature has-beens, but that was inevitable. Country Joe and the Fish didn't seem very cool in 1971, either. Times change. Fans move on. You're often only as big as your last hit. But Nirvana were a great band. Their three albums are nearly perfect, and they are guaranteed to be inducted into the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame next year. We're sorry, but everyone who voted for them in this poll is wrong.

The other one that I don't agree with from the Rolling Stone list is - 2. Nickelback

Yes Nickelback NOW, sucks big time ass. But their 90s music and their first album was good. Everything after that is what blew.

If having Nirvana on this list isn't a major , not having limp triscuit at #1 really is

    10. Dave Matthews Band (yeah I can kinda agree, I liked a lot of hits, but the full body of work is a snooze)

    9. Ace of Base (not sure if they're a "worst" band of the decade, falls more into the 1-hit wonder, need a bigger body of work for a worst of decade)

    8. Spin Doctors (see Ace of Base)

    7. Bush (very much disagree, but also a LOT of people hated Razorblade Suitcase, and I loved it. 16 Stone is a classic)

    6. Hootie (yeah I can see it...they hit gold and then got lazy I think)

    5. Nirvana (FUCK YOU whoever voted. FUCK. YOU. I could probably write an essay paper on the brillance of Nirvana.)

    4. Hanson (Yes. Wonder who the hell could be these guys as the worst band)

    3. Limp Bizkit (Yes & No. 3 Dollar Bill Y'all is a masterpiece, the rest was MTV friendly that hasn't really aged well today. Good at the time, rarely listen to it now)

    2. Nickelback (I have to admit when they first came out they were great, I actually like the first three or so albums, but QUICKLY got tired of them)

    1. Creed (Kind of like a combination of Limp and Nickelback. My Own Prison is a masterpiece, so is Human Clay, but then got tired of the quickly, how ever I still listen to the first two albums on a semi-regular basis)

I'm not going to bother to research the issue but I'd be surprised if RS didn't praise most (if not all) of said "worst bands" during their initial rise. It's so typical of "hip" "music people" to enjoy a band until they become popular and then they pretend they NEVER liked any of their stuff.

This was a vote IIRC. Not Rolling Stone.

A lot of these bands were great in the 90s, got tired of them by the 00s.

Correct, it was a fan vote. That's why RS put the blurp about voters being wrong about Nirvana.

JB, I also agree with pretty much everything you said. A lot of these bands were actually really good in the 90s, see my Nickelback comments, but sucked in the 00's and after. It's only a fan vote and people are obviously judging them off of their whole career.

It's like who hates anything newer by AC/DC but he doesn't thing they are worst band of their in prime century.

The writer of RS was pretty funny with the hair bands stuffing the ballot box. When a band singlehandedly changes the course of rock as you know it. Yeah they're not the worst of the decade their b-side album Incesticde is better than 95% of anything put out today, let alone their three studio albums. Speaking of which, the remastered 20th anniversary of In Utero is due out this year

I like old AC/DC. Just like I like old Metallica. I'm not sure if you're comparing me to the way people voted or not but, to be clear, I'd absolutely say that AC/DC was one of the best bands of the seventies/early eighties and I'd say Metallica was one of the best of the eighties. Since then? No.

In other words, the way I'm looking at things is the way people should have voted. It wasn't clear if that's what you meant about me or not.

I'm using Tapatalk 2 and the Cleveland Browns STILL suck.

I definitely like Bon Scott AC/DC. The only Brian Johnson AC/DC I truly like is Back In Black. So I agree there. Of course and I will disagree about Metallica, though the older is better, I still like the newer.
