I realize that you put a level of effort into these lists, so I don't want to ask you to do more work than you have to ... but one thing I don't like about the Gamercards idea is that if we visit a month later, the image will update. Since you're still going to have the Total Trophies and Platinums columns, this isn't as much of a problem. But I do like seeing the progression from one month to the next in the leaderboard.

Yep, that's exactly why I'm keeping the total trophies and platinum with their gains for the respective month. I was going to do just cards, but then I realized half the fun was tracking the progression, so I think this is the best alternative for now. If not, I can just keep the gamercards and then have everything else the way I had it before. It shouldn't look too cramped, and it shouldn't be that much of a hassle to keep up with. I definitely want the cards on there in some shape or form, though, only if it only adds some visual flair.

I'm 3 away from getting the platinum in NCAA. I really, really want to get it finished by Monday night so I can devote my gaming time exclusively to Madden. I should make it. I have all the hard shit out of the way for the most part. I need to reach the leaderboard for my conference and NCAA with RTG, and then I need to win about half of the bowl games and I'll have it.
Oh yeah, Program Changer is a FUN trophy. Getting a 5 star QB or RB to commit to a 2 star school...HA.
Yeah, I'm not sure if I'll hate Program Changer or Treasure Hunter more. Or that stupid Player Lock trophy.

Treasure Hunter is getting the same treatment it did last year. I'm doing a 12 team dynasty and simming the entire thing over and over until I get it. Shouldn't take more than 5 or 6 seasons.
Yeah, after playing them all last year, I'm definitely simming them this year. Still annoying to get it all.

Yes, it is. I only have 4 left, and they're all really hard to get placed into, let alone win. I'm also 99% sure the bowl tie-ins are messed up on the game, so that definitely doesn't help. I have the New Mexico Bowl, St. Petersburg Bowl, Eagle Bank Bowl, and the Independence Bowl left...so I'm simming with a bunch of CUSA, ACC, and MWC schools.
I don't think the tie-ins are messed up, but it seems like a lot of conferences don't meet their requirement for tie-ins.
I would definitely just play those last 4 games, on like 1 min quarters. The chances of getting them with a sim is pretty low. I think I read that you don't have to even be the coach of a team to get the trophy with a played victory. I'm not sure I believe it, but that's what I read.

Well, I had TCU win the Rose Bowl. I personally thought that was impossible, but maybe I'm wrong. I've had a couple other WTF ones, too.
I may have to try that. I thought you had to be the coach of the team when you won the bowl game. I'll have to get clarification on that as that would definitely make things a whole lot easier.
I'd hardly believe this was in the game, but the new rule for the Rose Bowl is that if a Big Ten or Pac-10 team is in the NC game, and there's an available non-AQ team (TCU, Boise), the Rose Bowl must take them. Otherwise it could have just been that a Big Ten/Pac-10 team was in the NC game and TCU was #3 or so. The in-game bowls aren't influenced by how a fanbase travels ...Originally Posted by I OU a Beatn
That's what I read on the PS3Trophies' guide. I thought you had to be too. What I just did last year was sim up to the Bowl Season, then change my coaches once I knew who was in the bowl I needed to play.

I finally got it and I can confirm that you can play bowl games with teams that you are not coaching and it still counts.
I don't really care about the trophies very much. Maybe it's because I suck at it lol. The Portable ID is nice but the fact it doesn't update automatically is kind of dumb. MLB 2K10 won't give you any trophies if you change the sliders which is dumb. I still don't have a single platinum trophy.

For the 2nd year in a row, I did something so stupid that I want to literally punch myself in the face. Just like last year, I play through a RTG career simulating most of it. I think the "get to the top of your conference leaderboard" and "NCAA leaderboard" mean stat wise. I throw for 141 touchdowns but don't get it. Uhh...what the...OH MY GOD. Yep, it means the actual offline leaderboard, where I'm 50 points short for the conference, and 100 for the NCAA. I did the exact same thing last year, and just like last year, they were my 2 remaining trophies for the platinum.

my boys beat the game and now i am trying to clean up the misc trophies and wow, after 30 mins of doing the same thing over and over i got 1. then find out i have to do about 10 more of those tasks to get every trophy. UUUGGGHHHH!!!

Burnout Paradise and Assassin's Creed II are relatively easy Platinums, but time-consuming though most Platinums in enjoyable games are.
