Not sure if it is the file system, overheating, or my blu ray drive went out, but my Tiger game wouldn't progress between holes, it was stuck on the loading, but the loading circle was still moving.
I rebooted, and put in a disc, it would try to read, make an ejecting noise but not eject the disc, and still not read it.
Trying to restore the file system and OS system if that doesn't work.
Does the little loading circle in the top right just keep going when you put in the disc? If so, probably bluray drive. If it happens with all your discs, I'd say it's definitely a bluray drive.
I'm going to try to rebuild the database and then try rebuilding the OS since rebuilding the file system didn't work. If those two don't work then I'll just turn it off for a while and see if it works after cooling down a bit.
Well a good local company (from friend's accounts) charges only $50 to fix. I'm doing a complete format and restore my backup files. If that doesn't work then I'll take it to the shop.
I am loving the YOU TUBE app download from the new PS3 STORE. I have it linked to my ipad two and the streaming is perfect. Better than that though, I put on a video for the kids and then I can still use the ipad to surf, work, etc. Great addition!
JB, how is Tokyo Jungle? I saw it's on sale this week. Fun or does it get boring after an hour or two?
Wow these guys are DORKS!
They're professional video game journalists. Duh?

Good news if you're leery of having your credit card on the PS3:
PayPal now a payment option for North American PSN users
Has anyone had problems this past week trying to download patches? I have had a few various games where a 15MB patch takes forever instead of less than a minute.
PSN store now available on the web...

Only problem is that it doesn't appear that you can queue items to download.
Well there is a problem with the PSN. Like I said, simple small patches were taking forever to download. Well I fired up DC Universe Online, and within 45 minutes I had 2 GB downloaded in the huge in-game update.
I wish I had a PS3 just to play Ni No Kuni. That game looks SO much fun.
Well, I've been watching someone play through it (they're only like an hour into it) but the combat is interestingly different and the world is AWESOME looking. It's like playing a different story in a Hayao Miyazaki world, which is fuckin' AMAZING.
