Sucks your back is like that though.

I did something to mine about 2 months ago and it just started feeling better 2 weeks ago.

Went with my wife to the salon to get her hair cut and all that other stuff (hey you laugh...but they serve BEER or wine to you the entire time your there!!!!). Well we had our son and I'm sitting on this bar stool type chair trying to hold him...well after about 45 minutes of constant leaning over trying to hold 20 pounds still..my back got sore as shit. Man I could barely walk, bend or do anything up until 2 weeks ago. Doctor said it was just a strain or something and gave me some pain medicine but I didn't take them...don't care for taking pills much.

Like I said that was damn near 2 months and some days ago. Felt tight all the time and hurt no matter which position I laid down or stood up.

Back to them serving BEER though. Shit is awesome. Oh and they are the freaking tall beers too that you get at your sports bar. I had 3 of those and a glass of wine with my wife. I typically take off work and take her there when she wants to go lol
Heh, nice. I'll have to figure out where there is one like that for later in life.

Yeah man, last time I fucked my back up, it was like a week before I felt better, but that was because I basically did nothing for the entire week and I went to the doctor, where they gave me pain meds (hydrocodone) and some muscle relaxers. Normally, I'm like you. I don't take pain meds at all, but that shit was unbearable so I said fuck it and was hopped up on pain meds and muscle relaxers pretty much the entire week until I started feeling better.

As an update, I feel much better now. There is still a lingering pain, but it appears to be originating from my left leg (think I pulled a muscle or somethin' in the upper back of my thigh) so, occasionally, I'll have a pain from there, but my back is pretty much all better. Felt like I was going to fuckin' die this morning but a few stretches before getting out of bed and I felt a lot better. Shit sucks though. Makes me feel like a fuckin' piece of shit because of silly shit like this. I'm 28 years old. I shouldn't feel like this.

Yeah it's awesome. When my wife told me about it I didn't believe her. Man I love going there now, plus all the women that work there are super nice to me.

Dude I thought the same thing when I did that to my back..like this is ridiculous. I had to get out of bed slow, damn near crawl in the shower. Needed help getting off the coach and climbing in my SUV was a battle every morning. Took a heating pad with me where ever I went. I didn't think I could take it, crazy how you don't realize that your Back controls everything...until well you hurt your back. At the time didn't feel like I did anything to it but that continuous strain in that same position I was in for so long apparently wasn't good.

Good it's feeling better. Like I said mine just went away eventually. I occasionally feel a twinge whenever I'm in a hunched over position for a while so I make sure not to be like that. Going to start focusing on strengthening my Back from now on.

Just saw that Norman Schwarzkopf died. I remember him being front and center at the start of the Persian Gulf Wars. I remember getting his trading card in packs for Operation Desert Shield made by Topps I think.

Do people seriously live to do nothing but bitch about every single thing they can? Just got done with trivia today, talking about some poll saying only about 1 in 25 people stay for the credits at the end of the movie.

Not even a minute after getting off air, some old ass guy calls up bitching about the question, saying "what about the movies with credits at the beginning of the movie" and promptly hangs up before I can even utter a word.

Congratulations, you just called a radio station at 7:20am on a Saturday morning, bitching out a 25 year old person because you didn't like the question or the answer only covered one of a couple different scenarios. I seriously fucking hate people at times.

No, Smooth, he's just a dumbass. Almost every movie, with the notable exception of Star Wars and any other movies that have chosen to violate SAG and Writers Guild rules (and are fined as a result), has credits at the beginning.

You're probably right. That's the second or third time in the last year, year and a half that someone would call afterwards and bitch about trivia, all conveniently old fuckers. One guy called one time bitching because he personally thought the question I asked was stupid. This guy who apparently didn't like the answer.

And unless it's been the same person every time, they have all bitched me out, and then immediately hung up the phone before I can say anything, like they want the satisfaction of having just told me off without me being able to make a response that might shoot down their high and mighty opinion with facts, logic or reasoning.

If it wasn't due to work, I would never go to the next county over that the station where I do my morning show is located and where these people live. They are all nothing but damn nutjobs in that county. They're the reason I have had to go into work at 3am in the past on the 4th of July, Thanksgiving morning, Christmas Eve, Christmas morning, New Year's Eve, New Year's Day morning, etc. Because heaven forbid those dumbasses don't get their damn news, pop quiz trivia and 10 minute long birthday clubs every single day, 365 days a year. One of our guys only just last month finally managed to convince our market manager to stop doing a live show on Thanksgiving and Christmas and automate the mornings. Record the birthday club the day before, have some prerecorded news and sports to play, and set up the commands so they still get their random crap throughout the morning from CBS News and let everyone have the holiday off for a change.

Consider yourself lucky that they haven't automated you out of a job though, like in so many other markets.

You have a good point. Our AM station has already gone full automation. The guy who did the morning show there for over 20 years was laid off in the first round of what has become annual, two times a year company-wide layoffs. After that, one of our production guys filled in on the mornings over there for a year or so, before we finally picked up a syndicated morning show over satellite this past spring. Now the AM station is 100% automated with wall to wall satellite programming, the only time anything in that studio is live being when we do high school football and basketball in the evenings with the city high school football and boys and girls basketball teams.

Our FM stations, the country station is live from 6-10am in studio, the rest of the day is voicetracked by people from elsewhere in the country. We also have football and boys/girls basketball affiliated with a local conference, four of eight teams in the conference being from here in the county, so we air games of all four of those county schools. The Hot AC station, live from 6-9am in studio and then voicetracked the rest of the day as well. So on air, it's pretty much only in the morning. The rest of the day is kept busy with church services that arrive throughout the week on tape and CD and have to be played/recorded real time into the computer system and producing spots for local businesses.

The other station in our market, that I do Saturday mornings on, is sort of the odd exception to how things are done everywhere else. They still have a live person in studio from 5-9am and from 9am-2pm during the week (and me on air from 6-9am on Saturdays and a person in studio (through not on air) moving the station in and out of various church services from 8:30am to noon on Sundays), with various contests through the day, live news, sports, weather, etc all morning and early afternoon. They have a lot of extra added crap throughout the day with CBS News programs, Ohio Ag stuff (the ag programs are HUGE with the schools and station in that county) and random other 3-5-10 minute long programs they air from day to day. Mondays with the Mayor, county office updates, county school updates, etc.

Of course, they're also notorious for having 15 minute long news segments, 10 minute long sports segments, 10-15 minute long breaks during live remotes (which is ridiculous on it's own, 3-5 minutes should be more than enough for any remote break if you're doing your job right). But the station is allowed to get away with it and pretty much violate various company-wide procedures every day, simply because they haul in some big amounts of money from various sponsors on various programs. The way that county is, the people there love the stuff that is done on air, so the station can get away with it and as long as the money keeps coming in, corporate won't shut anything down or make any changes anytime soon.

Nothing against you personally CLW, I'm assuming you're at least one of the decent ones, but goddamn I fucking hate the fucking cesspool bloodsucking lawyers in this country. Just saw a story on a local news channel's Facebook page.

Lawyer wants $100 mil for 6-yr-old who heard shootings on intercom

This fucking waste of human life should be disbarred forever. It's time these fucks who file these bullshit lawsuits day after day and clog up our goddamn court systems start paying for this bullshit. Fine them the first time a frivolous bullshit lawsuit is thrown out in court, disbar them the second time. It's time these sacks of shit start facing some sort of consequences for chasing every fucking dollar bill they can from every ambulance that they chase. Maybe after enough of these bloodsuckers have been disbar for their bullshit lawsuits, this shit might stop in this country once and for all.

in the first paragraph of the article, it states that the lawsuit is about improving school security and not money. why in the fuck is he suing for $100 mil then? :smh? i agree smooth, the stupid lawsuits need to stop

Yeah, that's lawyer talk for "I'm doing this because I'll get a massive payday, but I don't want to look like the anus-sucker that I am". Convenient that he's not suing on behalf of all the students who heard the events on the intercom. Nope, just one 6 year old girl. And yeah, he's doing it to improve the security of the school(s), yeah, suing the state for $100 million for some 6 year old girl is really gonna help school security. How about lobby to get that $100 million used on improving the security at the schools instead of suing the state for it and making some 6 year old girl and her family, one of hundreds of kids who lived through the exact same thing that day, obscenely rich.

I've already been tired of these bullshit lawsuits for years already now, but this is getting absolutely ridiculous now.

Yeah, I had already used bloodsucker a couple times in the original rant, so I was trying to think of something different to use. That was the first thing that came to mind.

That's funny on a nerdy D&D level too because Pathfinder is the epitome of powergamer heaven.
