Agreed. Though I do think football, as a sport, is rife with greedy people for whom money is the primary objective.

But at the moment ... among the coaches of "major" (i.e. Top 25 competitive) programs? Maybe Chris Petersen is the only one I'm confident is saying isn't scum or greedy. I think a few others are close, but maybe I wouldn't be willing to go 'all in' on.

I'm constantly worried that WVU, in it's attempt to be relevant with the big boys in college football, is doing something dirty and it's only a matter of time before they get caught. Of course, when they're as shit as they are now, it's hard to still feel worried.

Miami has sucked for almost 10 years and we still were "cheating"!

Five job openings now... Western Michigan (just shy of 30 days), Wisconsin, Tempe, Florida International, & San Jose State.

That post in no way says rule-breaking or dirty. Take your rivalry colored glasses off.

San Jose State steals San Diego State's head coach away

A few years ago, this would have been a major step down.

Yeah, this seems backwards. I know SJSU is coming off a good year but is it better than SDSU?

Apparently he played at SJSU so it make a bit more sense.

Western Michigan hires 32 year old PJ Fleck as their head coach.

Just under two years ago he said he wasn't ready to be an OC for NIU.

Wisconsin, Florida International, and San Diego State remain open.

Are you sure it's San Diego State? Every where I'm looking, it all says Ron Caragher was head coach for the University of San Diego, not San Diego State.

Ah... you're right. I could have swore I first read it as SDSU which wouldn't make much sense... USD makes much more sense. Gracias.

That makes Wisconsin and Florida International the last two schools with openings, though Oregon and others may join them when the NFL comes calling.

Yeah, I was gonna say, while SJSU has been improving, I would definitely still consider it a step down from head coach at SDSU. Other than playing there in the past, I have no idea why he would want to leave SDSU for SJSU.

Lots of speculation that Barry will coach for another year and find a long-term replacement after 2013.

You said of the Top25 competitive major programs, likely only Chris Peterson isn't scum or greedy. Thus, you think Hoke is either scum, greedy, or both. Scum implies dirty and/or ethically challenged. We know what greedy means. Thus, I asked the question, and you know it was a legit one based on what you wrote.

Note I also didn't name my own coach. Therefore is he dirty? I note that was the only possibility you questioned.

Do I think Hoke would take any job if enough money was thrown at him? Sure. I think 99.9% of coaches would do that. I think Chris Petersen might be the only exception. Pat Fitzgerald probably should have been on the list too. Some might call that greedy. Some might call that business savvy. That's for each to form their own opinion.

Also, "scum", when you consider that this line of conversation started with G and Mors, may, in fact, have absolutely nothing to do with "dirty". So, again, don't read into comments about Hoke as if I'm some Buckeye troll that you haven't known for years.
