Steeler, you seem to be having a fair number of injuries. That's good to see. However, are those long-term or only 1-2 games?

Most are insignificant. I could up the severity slider, but I am good with it for now. I only have 25 players on my roster right now and I'm having to rotate guys as it is due to fatigue. When I started playing 13, I used my injury settings from 12. That was disastrous. I was losing guys left and right for 3-6 months. Now, my "bad" injuries are usually for 4 weeks or so.

My 7-game winning streak in League 2 matches is over, but an equalizer in stoppage time kept my unbeaten streak going at 8.

    Port Vale 1:1 Rotherham United

    Possession 50/50
    Tackles 20/29
    Fouls 6/6

Physical match with 12 fouls, 5 bookings, and 3 injuries. Add to it 11 corners and that was a fun one.

If you missed it in the FIFA 13 Impressions thread, Wolverhampton contacted me to offer their managerial position to me. I had to jump at the chance to move up from the 4th tier of English Football to the 2nd tier and join an npower Championship League side.

That said, my first match in charge of Wolves was a home game against Bournemouth. I was LUCKY to get a win as I scored the only goal of the match in the dying seconds of stoppage time on a penalty that was awarded off of a corner.

    Wolves 1:0 Bournemouth

    Shots 14/8
    SOT 6/2
    Possession 54/46

That injury list looks pretty fair IMO. I could easily see an team with that type of injury breakdown.

Steeler, your time of possession looks really good. That has always been my issue. I don't control the ball enough. I need to learn to get away from the run and gun philosophy and move more towards ball control. How do you go about your coaching philosophy with regards to long/short crosses, etc? Are you more on the short game now with limited crosses or are you playing to get the cpu out of postion with long balls?

Football is not a run and gun game. The trap that alot of newer players fall into is that they think they should be getting multiple breakaways per match. In reality they are rare and if that's the only way you can score, you're in trouble if you're going to use any good slider set. I probably get 2 or 3 clean breaks per season, if that.

Football is about possession, positioning, and capitalizing on your opponents inability to do those same things. That said, I would like to think that my style incorporates a bit of everything. I love to push the ball forward on the counter and use long through balls to try and slice through a reeling defensive side. In reality though, my attack does incorporate a mostly-short passing game. I would tend to say that my crossing game is very limited. I probably send only 4 or 5 crosses into the area per match.

A good piece of advice that I would offer would be to make sure that you remember that not every pass needs to get you closer to your opponent's goal. Pass the ball backwards to your support to maintain possession instead of trying to force an opening that isn't there.
