    TGT CFB 25 Online Dynasty (PS5) - Settings & Slider Discussion

    Hopefully we can start the OD around July 26 once settings/sliders are agreed upon.

    In the meantime, use this thread to discuss/recommend starting point, rules, sliders, & settings for the league.

    This thread will be opened once the league has numerous members and EA has announced customizable Online Dynasty settings.

    Im open for whatever.
    I like the aspect of OC/DC but what keeps the longevity of the dynasty?

    I lean towards OC/DC as well, especially since (if I heard correctly) even as a coordinator you have full control in games.

    I've bumped Tackling to 55 for both the user and CPU to try and help with the broken tackles. Any thoughts on doing the same here?

    Planning to play on AA or Heisman?

    I am currently using a set of AA from Operation sports.

    Dont seem bad but I think can use some work. Went 6-1 with Arkon after implementing and lost to Buffalo in OT in the regular season.

    I would say AA, but I haven't played Heisman to know how it is beyond what I've seen online about it. (Letting FCS teams beat user teams.)

    I have read of a lot of people having issues in online dynasty where it crashes and they can no longer enter the online dynasty. You guys heard that?

    Yes. The CFB DIrect twitter account posted tonight that there is an issue with people unable to sign in to their OD and they are working on it.

    Yea we had issues with it in the 32 man league I'm in. I had one dynast I couldn't get into start working last night. I think they all work now after this morning.

    I have been playing on Heisman using canes21 sliders at first but just recently switched to the sliders we are using in the P5 dynasty (CF25 version of Madden 10YF league). They are easier than canes. I will post the two games I played with them today, post patch.

    There's a set of downloadable sliders called "Realistic" that do a pretty good job on AA. I haven't given any others a shot but I went from having to match score for score against much lower schools to having good competition against even opponents.

    I’m open to starting as either a HC or coordinator. Playing coordinator makes sense if you’re just playing that side of the ball, in my opinion. Otherwise, HC makes the most sense.

    I’m thinking 2 star prestige and below? There’s still some pretty decent teams at that 2 star level!

    Escobar, I played some test games against the CPU and I will say I was surprised... they aren't really more difficult from what I saw. Rather they make passing downfield easier in general but seem to make running more difficult.

    In my first game against Liberty, I had way too many fumbles & holding penalties but in my second game against Texas State, I didn't really see that.

    I would say they're certainly worth everyone giving them some test games with them.

    I've created downloadable sliders, for both Player & CPU, called Escobar Heisman. Search for either my username or the name of the sliders.

    You'll also want to make sure all other settings are the same because other sliders (ex. penalties), also have a big impact on gameplay. For example, if you crank up Defensive Pass Interference, in order to get more calls, the defense plays more aggressive against the pass.

    Quick thought/discussion...

    How many seasons do we realistically think we'll be able to complete before the next game launches? The reason I ask is I'm wondering: do we want to set the coach progression rate to "Faster" (not "Fastest")? Checking back to older dynasties, I think the most we typically did in a year was around 6-7 seasons. Keeping it on "Normal" or lower, our coaches will have very little progression.

    Anyone else have any strong opinions?

    We use slowest in the P5 Dynasty that created those sliders. I also use slowest in my Dynasties. With the faster progression almost everyone's coach will be the same with little differentiation.
