Merry Christmas! UConn fires Bob Diaco.
UConn hires former coach Randy Edsall.
- 49ers fire Chip Kelly. Unless some ballsy AD makes a move this winter (A&M? Tennessee?), he'll likely be the #1 choice for schools next year. Should some big-name school struggle next year, ADs will be making firings mid-season in order to start courting Kelly.
The funniest (best?) possibility I saw was SF hiring Brian Kelly and Notre Dame then hiring Chip this offseason. That might be a win-win for everyone involved.
- Saw some media member from Michigan (IIRC) claim that WMU's PJ Fleck would have interest in the Minnesota job if it opened up. I thought Claeys did a good job at Minnesota this year, but maybe some boosters/admins might force him out based on the post-season rape incident/tweet of support in order to get the more exciting Fleck.
Minnesota fires Tracy Claeys, presumably to land (chase?) PJ Fleck.

- And Minnesota has reportedly landed PJ Fleck.
Cal fires Sonny Dykes.
Chip back in the Pac-12 already?
- Western Michigan hires Purdue QB Coach Tim Lester.
- Cal hires Wisconsin DC Justin Wilcox.
Until the next surprise firing, the Carousel is now over (for head coaching positions).
Nebraska hires former UConn HC & Notre Dame DC Bob Diaco as their new DC.
Steve Sarkisian reported to be leaving Alabama as OC (after one game as such; 0-1) to be OC for the Atlanta Falcons.
The 'fun' speculation is Chip Kelly as Bama OC.
Amazing record in his 18 years. I think it was the perfect time for him to retire and thankfully it was not Mike Stoops replacing him.
