I'm more of the mind-set that if it's not really really broken don't fix it, sure it might be different than it was in previous versions but change isn't always bad. Now if it's 100% broken, then yes patch it, but why change it just because people are resistant to change? If you like the old way, play the older version. No?

Like Skip seems to be saying here, he's learned to like the new game, he's liking the new features, he's not saying how previous ways were better, I assume if he liked the older version he'd put that disk back in his machine.
Not a stupid question at all. You could do one of two things if I am not mistaken if you do not want the patch.

1. Turn off your internet connection when you play Madden so that it will not try to download and/or install the patch
2. Decline the update, of course it will say "you cannot play online" which wouldn't matter anyway but I'm pretty sure that is an option.

And you are correct, in past year's the game was patched and changed. For the better in areas that needed adjustment, then in others where no change is necessary.

I do have a feeling they are going to patch kicking somehow, pass rush from getting in too quickly (I love it honestly) and the sack fumbles or fumbles in general. I hear the complaints about the fumbles mostly. That's just people having bad habits though where they were able to sit back, make a turkey sandwich in the pocket then decide to throw last minute only resulting in the pop up incompletion.

Problem is even if the game changes after the patch, I'd still play it over Madden 16 or any of the last 3-4 previous versions. I get your point though and it does make sense.
