And that makes sense because people here in Houston absolutely LOVE the teams from Dallas and San Antonio.

Heck, I bet at least 0.02% of Houston residents can name one player from the Dallas Stars. And with Dallas just a quick 4 to 5 hour drive away, people here really feel involved with them.

I'm just surprised that Canada was completely left out of the NHL playoffs this year. I figured that, at least, Montreal with their large French-speaking population would make the playoffs because of the Paris attacks. But the script-writers are obviously more concerned about a half-dozen or so people getting shot in a church in rural North Carolina. Makes sense.

That, and the 2 people that we're shot at the Air Force Base in San Antonio (the REAL reason Houston got the Final Four and Super Bowl 51).

Oh, North Carolina is doing well because of a shooting in SOUTH Carolina. Apparently sharing the word Carolina means they're universally connected. I'm sure the people of Virginia love being put in the same bracket as West Virginia (2 states that couldn't be any more different).
