That slide was ridiculous. When you do something like that - basically injure someone outside of the rules or spirit of the game - I've always felt that you should be suspended for as long as the injured player is out plus some (plus 10 games or whatever).

Unfortunately, as Goodell found out, the leagues are pretty powerless against the unions and the unions would have none of it.
