Not knocking them here, but NBA 2K does/adds things that they know will make a marketing splash and having Spike Lee involved achieves that big-time. (They aren't the only company doing that, but I think they may be one of the biggest offenders and it really doesn't get said much.) I've seen a lot of media sites talking about Spike/NBA 2K16 when normally the game wouldn't even be on their radar. For them, getting that coverage is goal #1 and if the mode ends up great and/or popular, even better for them.

It's a small thing, but I laughed seeing Harden playing in (presumably) Rucker Park in that clip in full Rockets gear. I guess they can't/won't put NBA players in other gear/clothing? I hope he washes that uni every day.
