Polygon has acquired (via a leak) a look at the NBA 2K16 cover athletes and early social media marketing for the game.
Cover athletes for the game will be Steph Curry, James Harden, and Kevin Durant.
Worth noting is the text on the cover: "Be the Story" and that the game features "A Spike Lee Joint." Early community speculation focuses on Lee being involved with MyCareer mode.

It would appear the original leak was at least slightly incorrect.
The third cover of Kevin Durant is now Anthony Davis.
Info appears to be emerging, so we may get confirmation on covers and 'Frequency Vibrations' shortly.

I think pasta's tweet has to be partially incorrect. I can't imagine 2K taking away the role of the created player in the mode, particularly when the initial covers featured "Be The Story" as the tagline. Something has to be off in his tweet.
