The videotaping thing probably isn't for job evaluation. It could be for psychoanalysis or it could be something such as determining who gets sold off to someone/somewhere else maybe for slavery, sex trade, etc.
Minor issue, but for consistency's sake I think they should have objected or questioned the videotaping more. They don't trust these people, but sure - taping me and sitting down for a therapy session is fine.
