So by that logic, if say the city of Cuyahoga Heights, just outside of southern Cleveland, were to become consumed with riots after a white cop shot and killed a black guy next August, that means the Cincinnati Reds will be going to the World Series next year, because, HEY, they're both in the same state? The level of your stupidity is astounding!

Again, I'll repeat, Kansas City's success most likely has NO effect on Ferguson, MO as Ferguson is a part of the Greater St. Louis metro area, where as Kansas City is clear on the opposite side of the state, 240 miles away. Kansas City having success isn't going to do jack shit for "sedating the masses" in Ferguson, MO. My god, you really ARE a mental case likely off your meds. I thought this was all just an act and attempt at trolling the entire site.

Amen, I second this motion. This thread has clearly run its course. The powers here made a fine call combining all this crap from the NFL thread and putting it into this freshly created thread, but this whole thing has gone WAY beyond running its course. It's time to shoot this horse in the head and let its corpse rot in peace.

Lol. It would be like riots happening in Pittsburgh but the Flyers win the cup in hockey. Yeah that would make things soooo much better for Pittsburgh fans, they'd love to see that. But hey, they are in the same state.

Why wouldn't you make the Rams relevant instead of making a team most in St. Louis probably don't like

    I disagree, it's great entertainment

It's great to see how ridiculous his ideas are becoming. He obviously has a hard on for the Mannings. First it was them winning Super Bowls and now it's Archie on selection committee . Why would it be a great story that he is on the committee and the Miss. Teams are relevant?

Yep! Being in the same state doesn't mean jack squat. Ferguson is a part of the St. Louis metro. I'm betting an overwhelming majority would root for the Cardinals in baseball and the Rams in football. The Royals and Chiefs doing good or having big wins isn't going to do crap to "sedate the masses" when the overwhelming majority of those masses probably don't even care for the Royals or Chiefs. They aren't going to give a crap how good either team does. But apparently that doesn't matter, all that matters is that they are in the same state. #ramlogic

Well, when you put it that way. It is always sort of like Christmas morning every time I see a new post by Ram in here, wondering what stupidity he's going to pull out next.

There are 13 on the committee, not just Archie Manning. Why do all the others get their schools ignored?

another nail in the Seattle slide I predicted before the season began. What a dang coincidence huh ?

Yeah trading a guy who played in 1 regular season game last year will definitely destroy this team.

Also, a nail in their slide? Wtf does that mean?

Yep. A whopping one catch for 17 yards the entire season last year, and a whole 22 catches for 133 so far this season. He hasn't scored a touchdown since 2012. He had absolutely nothing to do in Seattle's success last season and he's had little to nothing to do for them so far this year. But don't try and tell that to sockboy.

Harvin had one good game this year. He won't be missed. Dumb to think that contributed to the conspiracy

the media will use it and the general public will buy it. That's just the tip of the iceberg, plenty more will happen. You laugh and yet it came from no where. I told you stuff would lead to Seattle losing and you gotta start somewhere.

and of course Manning has a record to break in primetime tv at a home game. Is there any doubt he will succeed?

either way Denver wont lose both games coming up. they either win both or go 1-1.
of course youll say what is so strange about that? but I thought you were supposed to be in the 'anything can happen' crowd.
you accept a star getting preferential treatment but of course don't think games are manipulated = its the same damn thing.

isn't the ND - FSU game really exciting ?! wasn't it fascinating how all that bizarre stuff happens at the end of a close game in prime time ? the WR was really that dumb to act like a lineman and get that penalty ? really ? and the QB throws at no one to end the game....

the coach's post game interview is such bull. College ball is more corrupt then you people seem to realize.

you accept more then half these guys have never seen a class room but you don't think that filters into another aspect of corruption ?

Marshawn Lynch went to Cal for crying out loud. Freaking CAL ? He had no business being there.

So the NCAA had a receiver run an illegal pick so they could call a penalty and decide the game?

You are a fucking mental midget. If they wanted it to end with FSU winning, all they had to do was tell Golson to throw it too high or tell Robinson to drop it or tell Golson to take a sack or 1000 other things. But, no. They tell a kid to run an illegal pick. Sure.

You are so fucking stupid it is pathetic. I hope that one day one of the athletes involved in a play like that finds you and beats the unholy-mama's-milk fuck out of you.

I'm with E, keep this sucker open, love it!!!

    From Wikipedia

    Ad hoc hypothesis[edit]

In science and philosophy, ad hoc means the addition of extraneous hypothesis to a theory to save it from being falsified. Ad hoc hypotheses compensate for anomalies not anticipated by the theory in its unmodified form. Scientists are often skeptical of theories that rely on frequent, unsupported adjustments to sustain them. Ad hoc hypotheses are often characteristic of pseudoscientific subjects such as homeopathy as well as the NFL (and now all sports it seems) being fixed conspiracies.[1]

If the offense doesn't score on every play it is because they aren't trying. If the offense does score on every play it is because the defense isn't trying. If there is a penalty it is because the penalized team tried when they weren't supposed to try.

I don't know why your logical brain is too dumb to understand that formula, SC.

A top running back goes to a school that's less than 5 miles away? Say it isn't so.

I am on pins and needles waiting for Ram to explain this one. It does make this post a little more clear now.

Rams with a fake punt!!!!! What a gutsy call, 4th down, deep in Saint Louis territory, with under 3 minutes to go!

Rams hold on to win by 2 over Seattle!

And I'm sure ram will have plenty to say about this game.

of course I do. You are so gullible that all this fantastic ,perfect drama is normal and average to you.
and of course a fumble you see no one recover isn't reviewable so the outcome stays as planned.

5 games end in 2 or 1 point difference and you just drool and believe it all.

They only won to prevent rioting in Chillicothe, MO.
no, they won to help Seattle slide which already stated would happen long before this. I just figured they would wait till after this game. I did pick Seattle to win but I did pick the Rams to cover.
You people cant think for yourselves and buy any outcome no matter what happens.

That defender CLEARLY just stood there and let Demaryius Thomas catch the ball and drag his feet in dramatic touchdown catch fashion so Peyton could get his record breaking touchdown pass. The NFL IS FIXED!!!
