I don't know how hard it is as I haven't bought Destiny yet (or really, more like I haven't made up mind to decide if it's worth my money or not), but I can tell that is definitely impressive that just two people were able to beat it.
Now just to wait a week for the video of one of them doing it by themselves.

I honestly don't even know how they got the initial doors open, because there's 3 plates you have to defend from waves of enemies. I could see 3 people, but 2 is just.
I watched a little of the video and the guy they showed never even went to the middle plate. Either the other guy handled both or they know some way to keep enemies from spawning over there. He did show off his character and he had 15+ Legendary/Exotic armor and weapons fully upgraded. One of each gun, 4 helmets (3 Exotic). Safe to say he has sunk some serious time into playing Destiny. I still need 12 more shards to completely upgrade my armor, hoping that will bring me to lvl 29.
I have a ton of shards, but I don't want to upgrade my chest, gauntlets, or boots because I have no plans of keeping them. If I leveled everything up right now, I'd easily hit 29. I was hoping to get at least one piece of Raid gear last night, but alas...
I actually deleted my original character, which was a Titan maxed out on both Striker and Defender. I'm now using:
-Level 27/28 Titan Female Striker (just maxed out Striker so going to work on Defender as it's better for PVE)
-Level 23 Female Hunter Gunslinger
-Level 22 Female Warlock Sunsinger
I had a level 28 Male Titan that I initially created but I ended up deleting him. I use the Titan for 99% of my time playing but the other classes are cool, too.
I'd say the Hunter is probably the best for the Crucible simply because both of the Hunter classes have really overpowered Supers. Gunslinger is basically a guaranteed 3 kills if you can aim (4 if you have the Exotic helmet that gives you an extra shot) and Bladedancer is the most overpowered super in the entire game, IMO.
I've spent the least amount of time on my Warlock, however, it's probably up there with Titan Defender for most useful during PVE because of it's super being able to self revive, which is just indescribably good during things like Nightfall or Raids.
I'd like to get all 3 around 27 or 28 so that I can do the weekly heroic and get 9 strange coins for each of them, guaranteeing me at least 27 per week. It'll be awhile, but I'll get there eventually.
I tried to run with Warlock but after a couple levels, having to regurgitate the story line again, it got deleted. My Titan is just fine and I really need to start playing some of my other games. Last night, after the Warlock experience, I decided to do some strikes. Generally I tend to be the top in kills, because while the others are blasting away at spongebob strike boss, I am defending them from the swarms. Team player and such. So what do I get for my effort last night? The RNG in the bunghole. Nothing new but last night it was like Bungie stuck it in as far as it could go. Did around 10 or so strikes (lvl 24) since it is the hardest with matchmaking. In that playtime 3 different people got a Legendary engram, all three had the lowest kill/assist rate. If that was not enough I upgrade the cryptarch twice and the postmaster of disaster gives me 3 rare engrams each time. Turned in well over 30 engrams and all I got were rare items and a couple motes of light. Not a single strange coin so I would at least buy something Exotic this weekend. The final straw was completing a public event, going back to the postmaster general and getting a mote of light instead of shard/energy.
Kicking the Destiny habit is harder than quitting dipping.

Xur is selling the Ice Breaker exotic sniper rifle for 17 strange coins this weekend. I had plenty, so I figured why not. Completely maxed out range + constantly regenerating 6 round clip (you never have to pick up ammo, it regenerates a round every 6 seconds) piqued my interest.
People are literally going to be blasting through nightfall missions solo with this thing, especially upgraded. It's ridiculous how overpowered this thing is. I'd imagine those oracles on the Raid are going to be much easier to deal with as well. Possibly the single best gun for PvE (I haven't tried it in the Crucible yet). Well worth the 17 strange coins.
I need to start fishing for more strange coins

I should have gone to the internet before I picked from the three options on both occasions. That one sounds easy, depending on if there are any variables for the Nightfall strike. Dying somehow affected your total in the Crucible tasks but have no idea how since I knew I could never beat it.
Not to mention the Fusion rifle is my go-to gun.

Pretty quick until needing to dismantle 10 rare or better fusion rifles.

It's not too bad, but it's a HUGE grind. You have to dismantle 10 rare fusion rifles and then you have to keep another really good one on hand for the 200 kills with a fusion rifle in the nightfall strike. It's a huge pain in the ass. I basically killed the same 20 minions at the beginning, went back to orbit, then did it again, etc...
However, it's totally worth it. The Pocket Infinity in full auto just destroys groups of enemies.
Also, Bungie basically admitted that there's basically no difference between a level 5 and a level 30 in the Iron Banner, even though it's supposed to take all those advantages into account. A level 5 player with a level 5 weapon has the SAME time to kill as a level 30 with a fully leveled Suros Regime, for example.
Bungie's excuse? They want "everyone to be able to enjoy Iron Banner." By that logic, there should be low level Raids so that everyone can experience that, right?
They are so off balance on everything.
I did the impossible, for me at least, being an average FPS at best. Beat the Weekly Heroic Strike on lvl 28 so I could get those 9 coins that would let me purchase the Ice Breaker. To make it even harder I scrapped my Legendary Sniper Rifle a few days ago for the shards. Had to take like two hours and the boss a good 30 minutes. Doing it solo you have to find the right spots where you will not get attacked by groups and on the last boss hoping he would not spawn right next to me, along with a couple enemies. A few close calls but damn was it a good feeling when he finally went down.
The Ice Breaker was well worth the time. Once it is upgraded it will be a scary good, as it is already a great sniper from the start. You not only have the regeneration, there is a mulligan option for a chance to get a bullet back with a miss and down the line explosive damage. I am not good enough to use a sniper outside of the slow moving bosses/enemies and of course the cabal but that is enough for me.
Cleared the Nightfall on my level 25 alt with it last night.![]()
