I'm sure this is a dumb ?, but if I want to play my PS4 does it HAVE to be connected to the internet? I mean if I want to play Madden when it comes out for the rest of us, not guys like JB that already has it, will I be able to play it offline?
If my PS4 can't connect to the playstation network that just means it won't register trophies and stuff right? I mean I'll still be able to actually play the games, correct?

Short answer, yes - should be no problems playing offline. However, it sounds like the network is coming back online.

Yesterday, Charter Internet was down nationwide. My PS3 was the only device that I didn't correct to resolve their issue. So I've been assuming Charter was still down all day

My ipad ps app worked for almost five minutes and then I got kicked out. Still no go from the PS4...
The app works again be still no access to the PS Store...
I'm online with no issue at the moment

Store will be down again tomorrow for the 5 or 6 hour maintenance. Perfect timing.
I got on, picked up Madden and pre-downloaded. I'm good to go. Apparently PSN will be down all morning and early afternoon tomorrow so if anyone needs to buy something, better do it soon.
Hopefully the Playstation Store is not down tomorrow night to verify your purchase, buddy.

Yup this has been on my mind. I don't ever go digital as for console I prefer disk. However I thought I would try it out. I have the game fully downloaded so in theory when the clock runs out the game should open... hopefully!
Pretty sure there will be a tiny file that downloads to unlock it. Otherwise, you could just change the clock in your settings.

They've came out and said they're going to postpone the maintenance.

Can anyone log on to PSN? I'm getting a maintenance message but I thought that was delayed.
Maybe they got DDoS'd again.
