Yeah with sliders you really can get a pretty fun game and not have to worry about the craziness that is random onliners. Just went .500 through 6 games this weekend against the CPU. But maybe I just suck?

I think if you're willing to find decent sliders AND choose to ignore certain things, then you can have a decent game. I can't program my brain to do that, though. If I see someone wide ass open because of an AI blunder, I can't look away and choose to throw to someone else. I haven't been able to get a challenge out of the CPU on any level with any sliders since the '04 version, which is why I play online. I would love nothing more than for EA to really make the AI smart and challenging so I wouldn't have to play some of the douches I do on a regular basis.

Yeah it's not perfect and really a matter of preference. Do you prefer to just deal with some of the stupidity of the CPU (clock management; play calling; etc...) or do you prefer to deal with Goon Kicking; Disconnect glitching; pump fake backwards; WR direct; etc....

I prefer the CPU (and my good friends here for an occasional head-to-head matchup)
