Scott's origin story is completely different from Hal Jordan's though (and Jordan's is more well known). There was no Green Lantern Corps for Alan Scott.

I'm proud of the fact that I dont know/never knew that..and I'll forget tomorrow any way and dont care

Yeah, well, most of that was from Wikipedia after I looked it up to remind myself who Alan Scott was in the first place And, more importantly, to make sure I didn't confuse John Stewart and Jon Stewart

There was a contest, sponsored by EA, on OS over the last 8 weeks of the Premier League season.

Each week, they gave you 3 players to choose from. You had to pick the player that would have the highest Performance Index that week. A winner was drawn from those who got the right player. I didn't know about it until the sixth week, but each of the three times I entered I guessed correctly. The final week, I was drawn to win the weekly prize.

Today, it arrived. A Blackburn Rovers jersey signed by 19 members of the 2011-12 first team. Sweet!

Meh. It's a totally subjective rating based on film study and game recaps.

    Shawn Johnson retires from gymnastics

Shawn Johnson, a four-time Olympic medalist who won a world championship all-around and team gold in the 2007, has retired from gymnastics, she announced Sunday.

If some defined her 2008 Beijing Olympics as a disappointment because the U.S. team took silver instead of gold, and because Johnson settled for an all-around silver behind teammate Nastia Liukin and didn't collect Olympic gold, but silver, in the floor exercise, that would be wrong.
