It really bothers me when people say someone or something "passed away" instead of saying it died. We, as a society, are so afraid of death, we hate even referring to something dying and, instead, use the pussy form of it by saying it "passed away".

In my grief psychology classes in mortuary school, it was described exactly as you say. I was taught/trained/programmed to say "died" to people so that they would face the reality and gravity of the situation. I agree with you fully.

REALLY great movie. I need to watch it again. Haven't seen it since opening day in the theater. It was the best movie of 2011 in my opinion.

Mostly understanding the grieving process. DABDA, etc.
