True, very true. And granted, I am looking at it from my own perspective of things, in that I have never cared for any of these music oriented games. If I want to listen to music, I'll play it on my laptop. But that's just my tastes, so for others, it probably will be a great thing for them.

    Kickstarter is taking over.

I never got into the original Battle Chess, but I loved the Star Wars version.

so last week i got hired on at a packaging and shipping company. i get handed a packing slip and invoice, go grab the contents, put it all in a cardboard box and tape it all up, then throw it on a pallet to be shipped by UPS/FED EX.....

turns out that one of the clients we have is the makers of Portal 2, half life, and the Left 4 Dead series.

Practically impossible: The quest to decipher Fez's cryptic final puzzle

Since its release last Friday, thousands of players have struggled to untangle the knotty thicket of puzzles hidden deep within Xbox 360 indie title Fez, the 2D-meets-3D puzzle platformer that drove us batty with its obscure stumpers. Since then, only a few hundred have managed to complete enough of the game's challenges to reach the 200 percent (yes, 200 percent) completion threshold. That's an achievement in itself, but until Wednesday, none of those players had actually been able to complete the game's most difficult puzzle, which involves a black monolith floating inside a hidden underground chamber.
And for the Achievement whores out there:
The only concrete effect seems to be increasing the game's completion rate by another 3.1 percent, leading to a new (and baffling) maximum of 209.3 percent.

    Activision's contract with Bungie detailed

A 27-page agreement between Bungie and Activision calls for Bungie to develop four "science fiction - fantasy action shooter games currently code-named "Destiny" that will be released every other year starting in fourth quarter of 2013. Bungie would also release four downloadable expansion packs code-named "Comet," every other year beginning in the fourth quarter of 2014. The first Bungie game will be an Xbox 360 exclusive, as well as its sequel, though the latter will end up on what the documents call the "Xbox 720." Later games would be made for Xbox consoles as well as Sony's expected next-gen console follow-up to the PlayStation 3, and on PC.

If you're a fan of the 80's arcade game Shinobi, the sequel Revenge of Shinobi came out as one of a few Sega Genesis titles on PSN for $5. I played the hell out of Shinobi in the arcades in grade school.

I was a Genesis kid during the 16-bit era and I loved Revenge of Shinobi. My favorite Shinobi game was Shadow Dancer though.
